QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Mar 6 2014, 06:28 PM) I see. I hope the bank will compensate you for the illegal transaction. Possible to find out whether it is a local or overseas company that person used for the transaction? If it is a transaction in M'sia, then the culprit is in M'sia. Sorry for asking so many questions. Stop here.

QUOTE(beyond86 @ Mar 6 2014, 07:20 PM) MSOS is additional authentication protocol developed for safer online transactions when using your American Express®, MasterCard and Visa But most Amex online merchant overseas does not support safekey yet ! Kinda hope Safekey could reach the same level as Vbv and securecode asap.

so, for us malaysians, MSOS is good enough. if paranoid, enable SafeKey for Amex too from FAQ http://www.maybank2u.com.my/WebBank/MSOSFAQs_171013.pdf : QUOTE MSOS Code for Online Transaction is a solution to enhance the Charge, Credit, Debit and Prepaid Card authentication during online purchases. The current standard online authentication by American Express SafeKey, Verified by VISA (VbV) and MasterCard SecureCode on 3D-Secure method which uses Static Password.
MSOS Code is a One-Time-Password (OTP) for Online Transaction which is an extension of American Express SafeKey, VBV and MasterCard SecureCode, 3D-Secure solution which is fully adaptable to the 3D-Secure architecture & protocol defined by AMEX/VISA / MasterCard.
This new enhances security feature takes advantage of mobile communication by sending the MSOS Code to your registered mobile number with Maybank.
