I'm not concerned about the lights (more like lack of), but I AM concern about typing..... I read some reviews that say the G15 is pretty good at typing, but Razer is VERY good at it because of the anti-ghosting thing...... can anyone confirm this?

I thought of the Razer Pro|Solutions Pro|Type keyboard, but if you see the condition of my what was once keyboard...... you can see why I want something in a dark color......
*
If u notice, Im opting for one like long time ago and still have not decide on any yet. I like Tarantula, the only drawback is the light, it needs the battledock or wuteva to "light" the key which is not effective for my use. I dont want anything like flashlight but I prefer backlight. Im holding for either G15 or reclusa.

Whats interesting that I would like to know is, can both of em enable backlight according to some keys depending on the gaming profile. What I mean by that is, say that I wanna play cs, can I make only WASD + space + Ctrl + etc backlight enabled and keep others "unlight"?

Thank you in advance.

i guess either smaller or same. because G15 has a bunch of macros on the left.

i've touched the reclusa in lowyat CELgame thingy ground floor. Feels a lil cheapo plastic. hmm...din touch tarantula tho. but my friend bought one without listening to my advice ("poison" tongue.gif) to get G15 instead. hehehe...

not sure bout the tarantula typing feels but reviews said it feels like typing on a notebook style/slim keyboard. i dont think you need anti ghosting in typing unless you wanna make some words holding down more than 6 keys together. laugh.gif

I just found out I cannot use my Logitech G15 to access BIOS, have to use back my old PS2 keyboard.

sigh.
*
you need to enable USB keyboard & mouse thingy in your mobo bios.
use your old ps2 to enable that first, then you can use your G15 already.

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Jul 28 2007, 10:49 PM)
Ooooooooh. +1 for the G15 for me already.

Can the lights be configured via a macro?
*
not sure if the light can be configured via macro as i think light on/off/dim switch is just, well, an on/off button.
Why you need to macro that? since you already have a dedicated on/off light button.
anyways, maybe there's some G15 plugins you could find to enable that. I've even seen ppl using plugins to make the lights blinking with your music rythm. cool stuff... laugh.gif

thanx for the info. So what is about the color thingy? I thot new model dont have that. Im thinking g15 for now. Tarantula sucks with no backlight. I know about the Prototype but white doesnt fit my workstation plus i bet it doesnt have backlight. And i dont think it docks iPhone unless iPhone is using the same port as nano or iPod video. In fact, slider wont let i dock anything.

so SpikeTwo or anyone else, what do u guys suggest? I would like both bias and non-bias comment. It is not wrong to comment based on own experience or belief but i do appreciate non-bias comments as everything, i mean everything has pro and cons. Just which pros and cons fit more in our life or lifestyle. peace.
*
yeah, i guess the new batch should have fixed the color fading problems. at least, for heavy FPS gamer like me, my WASD colors are still intact.so far, the only cons i could think of about the keyboard after using more than 8 months, is the size. but it din bother me much cos of my big-enough table. laugh.gif i will still suggest a G15 not because i am using one. (hey, i rephrase that quite a number of times. hehe...)

QUOTE(nles @ Jul 18 2007, 04:24 AM)
If only there's G15 without macro keys. Dun play online games dun think so I'll need them.
*
i also dun use much macros for my FPS games (i think i would need them in Hellgate:London rclxm9.gif ), but i do use them in windows. you could virtually macro most of the stuff in windows environment. i macro the keys to open applications. say, one key for notepad, one for calculator, one for winamp...blabla...all your most used appliactions in one touch! you could even macro the keys to be used for formating your work in application like MS Word (copy, paste, bold, font size...bla bla...). It's just depends on how creative you are and where you apply them.

ps: sorry for keep editing my post. Long time din check this thread. was busy working.
