just tint 3M crystaline40 and nano40 on my hrv , looks good and heat rejection very good. If compared with my another car using vkool elite+ vkool 40 i would say 3M more cooling but vkool super clear vision like no tinted at all on windscreen(which is good) Overall very happy with 3M product and fantastic offer i received from 3M Ampang.

anyone want tint 3M can go 3M ampang fully recommended good workmanship and most important very very good price. And for those driving honda 3M is official panel in honda website which means cover by their warranty too.

GUYS!

I have a Camry wanting to do tinting this week. Budget RM1500, want good heat rejection, at least security tint. No worry about JPJ-compliant.

I just want to ask apart from the usual 3M and LLumar, which brand is good pricing and quality? Both mentioned above are out of my league.

Thanks.

P/S its 2007 car but its under the sun most of the time. need good heat rejection especially during driving.

Hi, I have a Mazda CX5 to do tinting soon. I have the original Mazda skytint installed when I bought the cat, but honestly the heat rejection is not good so I have to use other tint.

1. Can anyone recommend om Raytech tint spec for best heat rejection, JPJ compliance, good security & smart tag friendly? Budget max rm2.5k. Just want to check with otai2 here first so that I won't be conned when I go to the shop later.

2. Should I tear off the original Mazda Skytint or install Raytech on top of the old tint?

Appreciate otai2 advice.

Hi bro, normally the free tinted package provide basic heat resistance only. We cannot install on the top of the old tint because of the warranty issue. I would like to suggest u to remove the old tint and retint a new premium film. It will be solve your problem. Thanks smile.gif

Today I went to a raytechcs shop (location undisclosed), went to see their quotation and recommendation, I say my budget max RM2.5K. What they quote me is :
1. RX (black) for 3 rear windows,
2. 2 RX normal front side door mirror,
3. and for windscreen, they quote me raytech 70 (?), I didn't remember the name though, but it has 78% VLT, that one I remember. I try to find this in raytech website but couldn"t find similar name.

Then I pay them RM50 deposit, book a slot in the evening. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it and when I try to refund the RM50, they refuse, saying it is in the system already and later big boss asking why customer cancel and bla bla bla. I told them I will be going oversea for 1 month and will only come back end of feb, but they still refuse to give me the rm50 and ask me to come back later for installation.

My question/comment is:
1. Is the tint they quote me really worth RM2.5k? Is the spec overkill?
2. I think I should be getting back my rm50, but since I didn't have time to argue more, I just told them I'll come back next time. Truth is, I think they are not customer friendly.

I'm on a budget coz I have an ICE project coming up. Frankly, I don't really care about brand since they all seem to crap out after 5-6 years anyway. And I'm not prepared to shell out over RM1000 for high end tints that are purported to last forever.

I called, they quoted me an extra RM100 because my ride is an SUV and another RM80 to remove the old tint. Sunroof will be another extra depending on their measurement.

I'm going Tuesday next week at noon.

This is not the first time I've heard really bad stories about RayTech, while bro Lord Gitsy's product might be decent, I think customer service issues like this probably kill whatever interest I have in this brand.

Not sure why these stories continue to emerge from them.. Llumar, 3M and VKool offers similarly priced items so they just risk losing customers.

True, maybe RM50 is not much, but it still money. I will be coming back to them if they just refund me back my rm50, but with this kind of attitude, plus with a very kerek manners when they talk to me (you know, that annoyed-like attitude when you are promised rm2.5k by a customer and suddenly the customer cancel their business with you), i will think twice to consider that shop.
