Is there any lifespan for tint? My v-kool like not so kool anymore after 8years. >.<
Any cheap and legal tint to recomend?

After following and reading this thread since V1 Pg. 60 onwards.  My 2 cents on top 3 BEST Tint in No particular order. 

1) Huper Optik C70 front and Back and C40 side

2) Raytech Centurion 4 mil OR 6 mil. 
Budget Alternative CS85 5 mil. OR CS75 4 mil.
- 7 years warranty is a Bonus.  They have Complete range to suit your budget.

3) 3M Nano 70S with Crystalline 70 front.

OTHER Brand/tint? 
Proceed with caution. Avoid Groupon/Webuy/Ilovediscounts tints as they have Hidden costs or they will MAKE you upgrade for better quality tint.  One customer ended up paying RM688 instead of RM288 cause is D-segment car and sweet-talked to upgrade to Higher quality IRR tint).  Good thing no cheap.

  These above 3's ENDORSED and Highly recommended by my Customers.  (I sell new cars).  V-kool standard dropped and COST very high.  Llumar is Good but MANY Imitations.

How come a lot of brands offer VLT <60% only and still JPJ compliant?
A lot of cars come with factory glass that has about 75% VLT already. If tint side window with 60% VLT tint also will become illegal right? 0.75 * 0.6 = 0.45 which is less than 50% VLT allowed by JPJ.

So far based on my survey only 3M can offer 66% VLT security tint for side windows and 68%% VLT for back wind shield, with good IRR.

Front wind shield totally cannot tint, any tint found on the market will it <70% VLT.

Edit: Just found out VKOOL also has tint similar to 3M but only the top range ones.

Any film that is JPJ compliant could still fail test in Puspakom?

My SA told me that latest Vkool Elite now comes with security feature too, other than heat rejection. This is the "latest" version of Vkool Elite. Anyone can confirm if this is true?

Hi bro, thx for for your reply. My salesman not mention about the e-warranty at all. But, it is not 2 piece film, see my  pictures carefully.Crystalline 50 - 6mil, Crystalline 70 - 6mil, RE70 - 6mil and ST 70 - 5mil is actually one piece of film. After go through some survey, I think that dealer is selling fake 3M to me. I am very disappointed with my salesman and that 3M dealer. I wondering how many 3M dealer is also selling fake 3M product nowaday. Anybody can recommend V-kool, Huper Optilk, or Raytech to me. I am taking my Goft GTI next month. Must be good price and original product.Thx

New user of LYN and will be getting a Mazda 6 soon. I have been offered tinting service (prior to delivery - as it appears that there is only one vendor which can do for Mazda before delivery) for a hefty price. The proposed tint is VKool Elite FWS/BWS and Armorcoat for Side Windows.

Anyone able to comment on the price range for the proposed tint? And if I change it to Vkool Elite FWS/BWS and VKool 55 for Side Windows?

Hey guys, anything to take note before sending car for tinting? Mine is a 2007 Toyota Camry. Is it able to do full tint with mid-range specs for under 1k? Because car is old now, probably selling it off within a year or two. Tinting is a must do because the rear window's tint is quite ruined (Right Cool) and it's about 6+ years. Car recently got a new coat of paint and replacing the tints will make the car look a lot nicer. Any advices, sifu?

and the stereo antenna is also built in like the demister as well.

so what I need to warn the guys to remove and do my tint?

I've jz finished a tint job on my baby, and it looks F***ING DARK... When I was in the shop I saw a tint like 75%, it wasn't all that dark, in fact it looks JPJ passable at least. When I went to collect my car at night, damn, do I have trouble driving it.... It's a pain driving at night =_=.. Since its my first time doing tinted I learnt my lesson... I know its impossible to lighten a tinted... I have to peel it and re-tint my side and front window to 40%

Do the side windows' tint take twice as long for it to cure compared to the front and back windscreens?

Anyone ever heard of Winshield window tint specialist? was recommended by my SA for tint, however the only info that i can get is their website and facebook page.

and nobody has ever review or give comments whether it is good, cheap, expensive or giving any problems after installation.

wah.. thank u bro for replying my question. luckily i didnt install the window tint yet with winshield window tint. Quite worried abt it because no one share or talks abt it in any forums. And from the website also, it didnt mention about the brand of the product used for tint.

now, might considering the Huper Optik for my window tint.
