to the tint experts;

what's your view on double tinting windshield (front)?

in my group of friends, they all have a minimum of double tint(luxury car >400k) for all window except windshield since there is always a "precaution" mentioned by the installer regarding double tinting windshield.

What is the truth in double tinting windshield? Can you safely do it? Any real life example/scenario that you have encountered?

-oh and, how about moonroof/sunroof/panaroma roofs? Usually they don't tint that as well?

Hi bro, if you are looking to have a clearer view during driving, it is not advisable to have double tinting double tinting on front windscreen. Double tinting on front windscreen will affect the driving vision especially in night time. Some of the drivers will remove this double layer of tinted if they feel uncomfort when driving. But also some of drivers get used on it because it make your car interior darker, when darker u can feel cooler, and from outside look inside got some reflective which make it looks more privacy and looks like VIP car biggrin.gif

Sunroof can be tinted to prevent the heat coming in too. We have tinted package which included the tinting for sunroof smile.gif

Glad to assist you bro icon_rolleyes.gif

Well its not recommended to double tint the windshield as it will affect the driving vision. This is due to the windshield glass is thicker compare to the side and rear.

Sunroof you can tint as dark as possible because there is no restriction on it. However it is not recommended to install safety on the sunroof.
Feel free to drop by our V-Kool branches or PM me for a demo.

Hi tint experts,

My parents just passed down the familys perodua kancil to me (studying at university now).

Since there is literally no tint on the car at all, I'd like to get some installed on them so that everytime I go to afternoon class, I don't have to get in early and turn on the aircond to let things cool down.

As mentioned, it's a Perodua Kancil, heat tint is preferred for reducing heat inside the car. Don't need expensive tint, it's just a car for me to/from class. A bit darker(?) tint is a bonus, don't want people to see clearly what's inside my car everytime they pass by.

@tint dealers, do pm me your price and available shops in Alor Setar, Kedah (if available) or Kedah region in particular.

Thanks notworthy.gif

Suggest you to go to few tint shops and survey. Before going, check out their website for their official shops location to prevent counterfeit products if you are afraid.

The price is for windscreen only, are you sure it is cheap? I did 3M last year, RM500 for windscreen only. RM800 is the crytaline grade, I took lower grade one tongue.gif

Hey guys, can help me decide which tinted is better?

I'm buying Mazda 3 and the sales agent is offering me V-kool Elite or Rhinepro XD7 (is both on the same level/pricing?)

Open to other brand suggestions also.

Security, Solar & gps/smartag compatible.

How much?

I got my Raytech tint for RM850 or so. Can't remember the exact model. TSER 45%. Supposedly a security film as well so it's good. GPS works well with mine, no issues so far.

Cuts down a lot of heat from the Sun compared to no tint.

If you get Rhinepro XD7 for same pricing as V-Kool Elite, please consider to choose V-Kool

Rhinepro is another sub brand created by Cool World

Hi brother, got my new City tinted with Raytech last week. Same series as u mentioned above at $2k+/ Recommended by Lord Gitsby. U have to be super very very very very careful when dealing with them. There are lots of hidden agenda in the way they conduct their business. I would not wan to step into their shop again next time. PM me if u wan details of how they conduct their business. Not nice to bad mouth them in this forum

Ahh Comment abt the products. Of course there are difference when compared with no tint. My only complaint is that the tint on the sides window and back is a bit too light. But spending $2k + for a tint is an overkill unless u wan the best. If given a 2nd change i would opt for a $1500 range will do. Save the money fo other things. $1500 u can get quite a good average branded tint.
