Hi all,

I just received my new Accord last Thursday and now looking for good security(my wife daily drive the car with my toddler) + good solar tint(first car with leather, LCD, car mostly park in open sunlight, live in lowcost apartment/flat while waiting own house next year). Previous using Raytech CS85 (6years ago) and satisfied with it. I open to which is good. Which tint suits me?

Can I opt for the black for the rear windshield as now the JPJ regulation is the 30% VLT, summore I got glare issues on my eyes, so darker back windscreen can reduce the glare from back car lamp. I'm okay for 50% for all 4 doors as back window got sunshade.

This is the list of my requirement;

1. Security and heat shield is same priority
2. JPJ compliance - 70% - 50% - 30%
3. Back windshield is dark ~ 30% VLT - JPJ compliance
4. Smart tag and GPS friendly - as I am 'blind way' aka 'buta jalan' always rely on GPS.

Budget is no issue, the lower the price the better as budgetting for bodykits, accs, etc.

Hi bro, Glad to know that your car has used Raytech CS85 for 6 years already. Currently the latest product which is similar with CS85 is Raytech MX. You are welcome to drop by our shop to see the performance of the product. Hope to see you soon bro. Cheers! thumbup.gif

Im on a tight budget here. Planned to take Raytech AX or FX. Anyone can advise me if the heat rejection really different between these two? if so-so then maybe i take AX only. Quoted RM900 after minus 500 rebate.

I reckon you to go for the FX instead. 8% of TSER is quite a lot of difference. But if you can top up a bit more, get MX which is good enough to have more than 50% TSER.

Hi bro, thanks for your interest on Raytech products. The heat resistance of FX is significantly better than AX. You are welcome to visit to our nearest branches to test the products personally. We will show you the demonstration on the performance of the products. Thanks bro smile.gif

Not sure if I have posted in this thread before or not, I am using Raytech CS60 on my side+back windows and CS85 on my wind screen and I am having a problem using GPS and house auto gate remote. SmartTAG is fine though..

Is there anything to do with the tint materials that blocks the gps signal and the remote?

I think because Raytech is metalized film and your auto still using old technology with is infra red signal.
Same thing happen to V-Kool film too ~ GPS is actually depends on your device.

Have you try wind down window to get signal and then should be ok ~

Last Saturday went to a Raytech Branch for product briefing and quotation. What I can say, I quite Impressed with the RX. They even show me the Difference with the device, Solar Heat Meter or something. From the test, RX series I can see 5 times better than QX series. So I changed my mind on the spot and request quotation for RX series package. They even show the test with the top end of Competitor brands, what I can say the RX 'tapau'ed all of them. So set appointment for the installation already. I just wanted to know how can I make sure the one they install to me is the RX series? Sorry Lord Gitsy, I know Raytech is sincere and honest in their business, the only thing is that I am haggling so much to get the RX as I am the return customer to Raytech and I bought the car from the Panel Dealer make me feel I deserve something special. What I'm worry is the Sales person feel annoyed by my attitude and just give the quote but Installed the QX for me. Can Lord Gitsy point out important points that I can make sure I get the RX?

P/S : Lots of thanks for Lord Gitsy to give basic price for me to figure out what is the best offer for the products and also entertain all my noob questions.

Post 5 : What is Raytech Authorized Warranty Card.

Raytech Warranty card is only valid when the "Product Label Stickers" are present in the warranty card. Consumers have to make sure the product label stickers are present in the warranty card and the name of the product on the stickers are similar to the product purchased.

The warranty card may only be issued by Raytech principle and then, distributed to all Raytech dealers. Inside the warranty card, there are two (2) empty boxes for two (2) product label stickers, one for the front windscreen and the second is for the rest of the windows. Each product label sticker is unique as they are secured with holographic design, barcode and product model.

Yes bro, sometimes there will have some small bubbles as we called "watermark" in the tinted after installation. You can expose your car under sunlight more for these few days. You can send your car back if the small bubbles still there after 2 weeks. We will settle the thing for you. You can let me know if you need any assistance from me. Cheers bro  smile.gif
