Is anybody else having problems with their Amex? Seems it's a real hit-or-miss with the card sometimes, I bought a birthday present for my sister online from Etsy and then the transaction went through, even though the address is in Thailand... but then I tried to get the same thing for myself (using shipping address same as billing address) and I keep getting error.

Also, Paypal says I cannot verify or confirm the card because "The Card Verification System used by PayPal is currently unavailable. Please try to add your card at a later time. We apologize for this inconvenience." But for every other card (including MC/Visa debit) it works fine...

You need to call CS to activate/approve the transaction.

I checked world time zone before, if I can recall correctly, around 9.00 p.m. our time on Saturday, none of the parts in the world is still on Friday.
Even some already on Sunday. biggrin.gif

Just noticed another difference btw Gold and Platinum

For Platinum the service center call line is different with the Gold, your call will be answered almost immediately. I think they do prioritize Platinum calls compared to other Gold cards smile.gif
