fyi..im in my 20s...graduated 3 years ago..
if im over 30s and i NEED to have a loan to prove to the bank i can afford car/house..then is downright ridiculous...having a loan doesnt necessary mean a person can fully repay the loan.....and the bank rather see me owe money rather than having real cash on hand?..haha
thanks for the info...will try out other centre
Yes, banks prefer you to have loans as they want to know your behaviour of serving loans. A good paymaster record is better than the one with no record. A loan doesn't mean you have to be in a huge debt. A loan is to prove your paying ability. This is what banker told me.if im over 30s and i NEED to have a loan to prove to the bank i can afford car/house..then is downright ridiculous...having a loan doesnt necessary mean a person can fully repay the loan.....and the bank rather see me owe money rather than having real cash on hand?..haha

Banks will never reveal the real reason why they reject you, so you can only keep trying to apply. They offered you the card in the first place but the approval is still subject to the management, which means its not pre-approved.
So if u think the money u have in savings account is too little... top it up and on the safe side, let it stay for 3 months then u can apply for the cc again.
