Nokia has just announced the Lumia 920, its first and flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone. The Lumia 920 comes with a PureView camera, a 4.5-inch display called Nokia PureMotion HD+. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. As leaked earlier, the Lumia 920 also supports wireless charging.

Nokia is talking about low-light photography with the new PureView camera and promises no blur in photographs shot in low-light without flash by capturing five to ten times more camera by using a floating lens technology. The floating lens also helps while shooting video by stabilizing motion blur while shooting videos.

The Lumia 920 will obviously come with Nokia Maps, Drive and Transport. Nokia is also talking about City Lens, an augmented reality app. The augmented reality aspect will also work on Nokia Maps.

The PureMotion HD+ display promises blur free scrolling with higher refresh rates. The 4.5-inch curved glass display is also being touted as the best display with an advanced Clear Black display.

The Lumia 920 comes with a 2,000 mAh battery, which is the biggest battery Nokia has ever used on a smartphone. It comes with a “Fatboy Pillow” wireless charger, which is based on the Qi industrial standard.

Note:
Since it is a proxy, there is the chance that some sensitive data may be transmitting across the wire to the proxy (I'm assuming it's a Fiddler proxy due to the default 8888 port number). I would turn off all e-mail from syncing while running this..

so, how is review on the glance function? does it kill the battery faster? since we're using LCD.

WPCemtral had recommend one apps that can check update for three manufacturer (Nokia, Samsung,, HTC specific apps/system apps. But got ads, need to buy USD0.99 to remove the ads. Good for those use proxy method to download other manufacturer exclusive apps.

But currently i trying another apps that develop by China developer (no ads). Inside got some China exclusive Nokia apps though (the apps will warn you if your phone can't install). But this apps only support Mandarin. icon_question.gif

For Connectivity Shortcut tiles, currently i ditched the Connectivity Shortcut apps, since this only update till last year.

Currently try using another apps (Got WIFI, Data, Bluetooth, Location, Plane Mode, Nokia Maps), no ads but this one Malaysia region don't had. icon_question.gif

Depends what company, heard HTC was bad in supporting their android devices but now i dont know. The updates for us is dependent on Nokia Malaysia, if they slowpoke we get it late. GDR2 + Amber is already rolling out in other countries.

how about viewing the pic in the PC? still blur?
also try see the photos using "HD photo viewer" to see if the photos are still blur when viewing in the phone...

the thing only i can think is

when u take photo ..it save as "RAW"

after u save that photo ..it will compress to JPEG

I am surprised to read this, I thought with Amber. 925 will still be superior.
Personally I am not really why, I felt 920 with Amber looks more real and suite my preference.
I think the Warm of 925 is overrated.

What you all think? Especially 920 Owners.

well bloody hell, I always thought that 925 will be better since it has the 7th lens element and making picture more sharp. The first example showed it has a rather aggressive noise cancelling going on or jpeg compression. ohmy.gif

new fb beta really nice, ui changed..

btw, i read ppl complain about double tap feature, is it buggy? Scared to activate it.. Altho it is nice to use when put the phone on gps holder when driving

I would say Yes, the Double-Tab feature is buggy.
Sometimes, it wouldn't response after numerous tap.
I wonder whether I am too fast or what.

If no response, I just press the side Power button. Faster lagi!

I don't think the double tap thing works all the time. I tried it out on an L925 and still had to press the power button to get the damn thing unlocked/awake. Or am I doing it wrong?

I think it needs to pop out the Clock on the dark lock screen first via the Front facing camera, then the double tap to wake only can happen. You can't wake a phone via double tap if it doesn't show the clock first, e.g. when you left it on the table in sleep mode or you never gesture your hand/move your head to look at the screen to. Hence "Glance".

It showed the digital clock (the numbers showing the time) and I more than double tapped and still nada. cry.gif Still wrong method? I was holding the phone at the time.

I think it needs to pop out the Clock on the dark lock screen first via the Front facing camera, then the double tap to wake only can happen. You can't wake a phone via double tap if it doesn't show the clock first, e.g. when you left it on the table in sleep mode or you never gesture your hand/move your head to look at the screen to. Hence "Glance".

Mine wakes up from sleep after double tap and its quite reliable, most of the times it does wake up ...barely use my power button anymore. I dont use the glance thing just the double tap thing.

hina on 920 has a bit oversharpening as mentioned by the article which could be the result of trying to match the sharpness on 925 since 925 already has an extra lens element. Maybe?

Opps, very sorry. I thought "Glance" and "Touch" falls under the same category. Anyhow, the Double Tap you need to tap your two taps fast(around 0.5 seconds in between your 2 taps).

The Glance feature I set it to "Peek", so the time will only show when I look at my phone directly or use my hand to wave like I'm performing magic. Thus not using as much battery compared to "Always On" mode.

There's an app called Photobeamer from Nokia on GDR2 update.

1. Ask your Android friends to access www.photobeamer.com (it will generate a QR code on the screen)
2. Launch the app on your phone and select the photo you want to share
3. After selecting, the app will launch the camera and prompt for a QR code
4. Point it at your friend's screen on step 1.
5. Photo will magically appear on your friend's screen
6. Scrolling through photos on your device changes his view also.

- Requires data or wifi to work.
+ NFC photo sharing works on all WP8 devices ONLY. sweat.gif
+ NFC = Touch N' Go. (My IC has TnG)

Side note, guys please do consider getting a NFC ring! Chances that we might be wearing a NFC ring for:
1. Unluck your door (if you have a NFC enabled door)
2. Unlock your phone
3. Share contact (fist bump!)
4. Program it yourself (enable wifi, open all the lights in your house or open your favorite playlist)

You can always download the Nokia NFC Writer to see more ideas and even our neighbour (SG) started to adapt the idea of NFC Wallet.

MBB apps on WP8 still ok for me on daily usage transfer money,checking balance... android version of MBB apps is a bit Lag..

just get back my phone from Nokia Care.. I checked the firmware they already update to Amber..
Now I have another problem, whenever I press on camera shutter, phone just show black screen and go back to Home Screen.. any body facing same issue?

Update success, about 20-25mins including downloading. Double tap works great. As for Glance, trying peek mode. See how battery life turns out...

I put Peek mode only, if i put always on mode sure very consume battery power one, as it make our 920's screen on all the time.

925 use AMOLED, much more battery saving, as it only turn on LED that display the clock, all black colour background remain off.

not too sure how accurate is this article, but based on the website posted by weirdguy (for photo comparison between 920 and 920), it seems like it wont drain the battery as much as initially feared...

The double tap, seems like a very light touch can activate it. blink.gif 2 light taps without using fingernail and the lock screen shows up right away.

In Glance peek, 4 hours since full charge, with wifi, bluetooth, connected & nfc on. 95% left.

my battery seems better than before too... radio working fine as well... but now the sound coming from my earphone is so low even though its already max at 30.... dunno why...

go to Settings>Extras+Info.... you will see a huge yellow colour LUMIA AMBER on it... a sure way to tell if its on amber or not...

what is double tap function..is it while the phone standby? How to activate it..

the radio have to download or pre installed in amber update.. I dont have it..

Double tap function is to wake up your phone from standby without pressing power button, after your phone had amber update and system apps display+touch updated, inside had a settings allow you unlock this function and had glance time function as well.

Radio is enabled after amber update, check xbox music+video apps.

Need earphone for it to work.

double tap function demo in vid below...

Go to Setting>Display+Touch>Touch (slide screen to right)... make sure you tick the Double Tap to wake up phone....

radio is now in the Music+Video app... just plug in your earphone/headset to use it.... slide the bar to left/right to tune to your fav radio channel...

Ok...I tested the Pro Cam and I not sure I like it. Like what we read from many articles, there are some weird photo processing. The photo I took looks different from when I took it and the app even shows photo changes when you click on photo review. And the change is usually for the worse.

Also, any tips on using aperture for close ups? I tried to do the blur background effect but the focus on the thing I want a close zoom on is really blur

there is no aperture settings for pro cam, you can only use the manual focus to do some bokeh magic.

As for the photo review, I gotta say the instant preview was really cantek until you clicked the review button it turns out all grainy and smudged. It could be the software over did the noise cancelling and jpeg compression or it could be just a bug thing on the preview.

LOL. I thought that was a aperture setting. No wonder so difficult to focus....

I think I will just stick with the normal camera mode for now. The Pro Cam sorta feel like it butchers my nicely taken photos sad.gif , but then those additional options are really nice

hurm, the glance thing glitched a bit for me yesterday

the clock kept refreshing, can see it flickering up and down

but looks ok now, other than that everything looks fine, finally can use FM radio biggrin.gif

My L920 battery was 90% when I woke up, connected to wifi and playing apps for 1 hour, battery dropped to 68%......only wechat, whatsapp, skype on background. That was fast.

it still inherits the auto white balance bug ler.

And your exposure value will determine the overall scene so if you set your exposure value to 0 and shooting in a low light situation, your camera app will decide the iso to 3200 which will end up plastic look.

So for now, those of you who loves auto mode best stick with the default cam since it does proper white balance and exposure.

Yes, same here don't let the battery indicator fool you.

This morning the battery indicates 90% use judging from the top bar but once enter the battery menu, it shows only 77% but then when I plug the cable in, the bar jumps to 70% on the top.

yea but , its like the clock is trying to move from top to bottom x9999 times every time so you see a flickering motion from top to bottom

nice rclxm9.gif  .. done amber update  thumbup.gif .. like most of us.. feel like new phone again rclxms.gif .. new radio function, new clock display while screen on locked mode,double tap to unlock, new Nokia  Procam installed, new Nokia smart can installed, new sense data app auto installed..oh mai great great phone with fresh features.. now go to my fren using iOS and android ask them if they can unlock just by double tap and if they got clock display when phone unlock.. all cant say a thing  brows.gif all just  shocking.gif  say that eh Nokia phone have this function arh? haha nice nice

The instructions are fairly simple. Just reboot it by holding down the volume and power button and then do the second set of instructions if it's still spinning. Never try never know right? The spinning gear thing is a common problem when doing a factory reset.

Battery life seems to be pretty good for me so far with GDR2. Yesterday full charge at 5pm. Today 8pm now still have 46%. Wifi, Bluetooth connected, NFC on but Data off. Glance on peek mode, double tap also on.

Updated to Amber two days ago, and noticed few things.
1. Battery life is MUCH better now
2. Nokia Pro Cam focuses on objects much better, unlike the default camera
3. If you're using Nokia Pro Cam, low light capabilities wont come out in 100%, default cam makes the picture brighter, not Pro Cam
4. Nokia Pro Cam will lag at times, like hanging for a few seconds.

My Music, 6.5Gb, Videos 2.2Gb.
Still smooth as usual after update with radio added, as everyone knows, but other than that, no difference. Love how battery life has gotten a lot better

meanwhile testing the Nokia pro cam video capability, just a short one. Ants are moving their nest because atmosphere is chaning - raining soon.


Few things to note when recording these kind of video, set focus to manual and white balance too, make sure you have preset everything because the app will auto adjust and focus haunting during the record.

Such a shame it can't do manual focus during record.

I did try the ['volume down' + 'power'] reset as well as the ['volume up', 'volume down', 'power', 'volume down'] sequence. Although I couldn't get the 'exclamation mark' indicated.

does anybody notice that after the amber update, the charging process improving?

in my case, previously when the battery fully discharged, we need to wait 20-30mins for the phone to restart while charging. now no more. now the phone ON immediately upon charging.

is it just me or...?

Just realised how beautiful my photos turn out even with the default camera app after the amber update. There's still a tendency to overexpose though, the photos looks fantastic on phone screen but a bit lesser on computer screen. So, i guess screen quality also plays a role. =.=

Im using my own Jpop songs as alarm? hmm.gif Since i bought the phone last year. Same rule, 30secs/1Mb or less. If those tones appear in your ringtones, they also appear in your alarm tones, u can just choose. I have 10 tracks in the ringtones folder, i change around when i feel like it, for my ringtone and alarm tone. And every different alarm u set, u can assign a different tone.

It seems that after Amber update, the fb message actually improve and I can get the fb message around 75% of the time

Of course when I got happy and want to report here, it always stopped functioning properly tongue.gif

It's already like that even before portico update LOL. The songs in your ringtones folder, if they appear in your ringtones in settings, they will also appear in alarm tones for you to choose.

Mine still cant connect to FB properly, sometimes can sometimes cannot. But i stopped caring about it long ago because i dont chat on a phone. It's just not something i do with a phone usually, not comfortable chatting a lot by relying on touch screen keyboard.

In my case fb chat worked like 100%, when im on my laptop and someone msged me the phone instantly rang tongue.gif

but what i replied through the laptop the phone didnt display it, only display sender msg. is it only me or you guys also the same? unsure.gif

Too much loading even on unifi? That's so odd. I usually can even load FB app on 2G, just have to wait a little longer. 3G works darn fast for me. As for FB chat, I don't bother to use the one under messaging anymore. Instead I just open FB app, go to inbox, pin it to start, then use that one instead.

Yeah....the notifications are always few weeks old

I dun really use messaging app to chat on fb, I usually do it on laptop. But it would be nice if I can get the message/notification on time if any of my friends contact me on fb with some important stuffs

But it seems this notification problem is always there ever since Window Phone 7, so I don't see it being fixed soon. Funny thing is, none of the reviews mention this issues iirc

hahaha, even the "find my phone" seems to be bit slow and I will only get where my phone is located when I sleep (I requested to locate my phone in the afternoon)

I mean to select music from sea of songs in media player and having the option to ' set as ringtone/etc ' instead chopping or transferring files to custom folders which is quite unreasonable. and it's a limitation

most important is the static ip, without static IP the phone is worthless in 60% of the corporate industry

ps: looking for music in apps is even more headache rclxub.gif without the category and sorts

fantsy1989 i finally found one that i considered as worthy successor to Lumia Pusher, Free, no ads, lightweight apps (<1MB) and the interface is almost same as Lumia Pusher. rclxms.gif

- Battery not bad, could last for 3 days ++ for normal usage (My record was 5days 16hour , with just sms/call, wifi usage for fb chat only)

- for 3g, not sure about other phone, but mine lasted less than 4hours continuous browsing/youtube using 3G, normal usage like fb/whatsapp etc would last me around half++ day

- wifi would last for 2-3 days for normal usage

few bugs I notice are
- I choose 720p 24fps but when I transfer into comp a few videos turns out to be 22/23fps.
- sudden spikes in some long shot(this is really annoying)
- sometimes the record time doesn't run even though I have pressed record, most probably pro cam video mode crashed(restart needed)

don't know u guys experience it before or not..

Hey to all L920 users, help me out a little, take out your L920 and point it on a white ceiling with not much light(medium lighting) and see whether there is a pink hue in your pictures taken or not, it's even possible to see it via your viewfinder.

Noticed it after Amber update, it sucks at taking low light pictures now, with all pinky pictures produced.

Here are some shots that I took, not sure whether its a hardware issue or software issue yawn.gif

Mine turned out fine, no pinkish, just shot one at my ceiling. Try wipe your lens, then try again and see?
I noticed it improved, for my 920, although overexposure still happens (too bright) with the default software.

EDIT: Haiz, USD almost 3.4 ady, i guess Lumia 1020 wont be RM 1999 anymore, maybe RM 2099. =.=

I issued this since N86. up until now, even for 808, this problem still occurs.

only solution is take from another angle. don't shot solely at plain white thingy.

btw, I tried again with L920 myself. the 'round-pink' is still there.
I do recall for N8 for 808 that the problem is there as well.

If you get muddy/plastic shots, please try switching your ISO to 1600 and below, don't even think of trying 3200 because such small sensor will be prone to lots of noise and the way Nokia handles noises are similar to Apple which is smudge it (noise cancelling).

Rounded pinkish has been a selling point for Lumia phones, early days of Lumia 800 also has this 'feature'. brows.gif

hmmm it seems that many of you have been experiencing the same thing, but I didn't experience it until the Amber update, firmware activated it? tongue.gif

They say L920 is good for low light photography but when it's low light it has a huge round pinkish hue right at the middle of the picture? LOL mad.gif

nevertheless, just came back from sending my L920 for warranty at plaza berjaya, having a few issues for my phone, unlucky me cry.gif

IIRC, windows phone cant detect channel 13...

Few method that works for me:

change wifi channel till the channel no. (1-12) that your phone can always re-connect.

before connect wifi, restart the modem, connect the wifi after modem manage to on and re-connect to internet. (might cannot re-connect back again after you try to re-connect back wifi)

Extreme one:
Delete the old wifi connection record on your wifi settings, after that do soft reset (volume down + power for 10sec), finally reconnect it to wifi by key in password again.

Erm it's basically just a layer of coating over your phone... It's supposed to protect it from normal day scratches and stuff like that ... By the look of it ...your phone is practically naked but there is an invisible layer of coat ...the pros are you can use it for products of any size shape ...

Another way to confirm whether is other country is to check firmware no. and compare to other country that haven't get update, should be more accurate. hmm.gif

As Nokia only list new firmware no. when OTA is available for download.

Pre-amber update, Malaysia one should be 1232.5951.1308.0008

Or you can manually flash Nokia Malaysia's ROM that put on first page of this thread.

sorry sir, i was wrong.

when i checked my Lumia, it have 300x.xxx.xx fimware version, which is Amber upate according to nokia site..but extras+info didn't say im using Lumia Amber. but also, I canont find Nokia Cam Pro nor Glance anywhere.

then I googled around, and I found that I need to update system apps ...so I update everything, and install Nokia Camera Pro + etc2.

now extras+info said my L920 is on Amber and I have all amber updates biggrin.gif

To be honest I just traced the link where you got it from.

I seldom see retail stores selling Lumia 920 covers but you will have better luck on Nokia retail shops, Connect (in Mid Valley) or Radioshack (not sure), the big shops generally.

Me still at 1.3Gb (since i bought the phone last year) rclxms.gif I heard from some WPCentral forumers that even the youtube app MyTube also contribute to this problem.

For me i like to customize my phone physically; often change case, hang straps, & more. This phone has no lanyard for straps, so i slide it in between a hard case & the phone. I hate flip cases.

Yes it's correct that currently WP8 do not support more than 2 cores. But good news if the rumours are true, quad core support will come with GDR3 before end of the year. Heck we might even see it this month if the rumoured Lumia 1520 phabet turns out to be true with those specs.

Windows Phone 8 currently do not support quad core, that why Nokia also can't introduce new features and hardware to 1020 and during presentation can only focus on the camera, not others. This is also the reason Nokia complain Microsoft slowpoke in developing new features (Microsoft direction now is developing new hardware support first before new features on WP8.1). But since Rumoured Lumia 1520 will comes with quad core + 1080P display, it will probably come with GDR3 to support quad core + full HD display.

Btw, today i visit Nokia Store @ The Mines, the price of 920 they now put to 1399 blink.gif , not sure still got free wireless charging plate or not. hmm.gif

Finally i also manage to found CC-1043 cover and CC-1043 Man of Steel Limited Edition, price for me quite expensive. But i still buy it.

Reason for not picking 1020, (to me ah)

- limited WP8 holds back, hardware
- faster image processing may come next year
- Nokia Pro Cam could be better

Reasons to get the 1020,
+ 41megapixels-gasm
+ King of Smartphone Camera
+ Felt more like a camera.

If i was going to get a new phone this year, i would probably wait for 1520, but will have to try and adapt the the size like Galaxy Note users. Finally a Nokia phablet that matches the Note 3 spec to spec and yet have a more badass camera. 20MP, if rumors are true, is very good already (let's hope a sensor size of between 1/1.8 - 1.1/2.3. Seeing a top Samsung device actually inferior to a Nokia, feels good mang. thumbup.gif

I believe it has the same status as Galaxy Note, a flagship in the large screen segment. My guess is, we wont see a Lumia 920/925 sucessor at 4.7-5 inch screen size. My prediction is a Lumia 1520 & a Lumia 830 + a tablet in Nokia world in September.

My personal guess is Nokia is trying to match & compete with Samsung - the next "normal size" flagship (9XX series) will be around next year April-May period (too early to kill the sales of 1020 and 925, with a 930 introduction in September). July-Aug period will be the cameraphone period (successor to 1020), year end is giant size flagship. A strategy shift.

Yeah I would prefer a quad core L1020 but it's too late for that. The only limitation of the L1020 that I can see is that it lags when taking pics due to the underpowered dual core. It's probably the only phone on the market that actually needs a quadcore to function smoothly instead of just spec-whoring.

Maybe next year. Im waiting for the successor of 1020. To early to stop using 920. But i would want my next phone to be bigger than 4.5'.

Just that im unsure if i would jump on the high MP bandwagon, or the phablet bandwagon. 41MP + 6 inch screen is not going to happen as far as thickness is concerned. Big screen is like drugs, once u get addicted u find it hard to go back to smaller ones.

Never heard of 930? because it doesnt exist yet - i was only making assumptions. You see, Lumia 820 is almost 1 year old with no successor in sight, so, it's natural to expect a Lumia 825 or 830 to be announced with Lumia 1520 in late September.

If there is 830 is mid-high range, so it might sport Snapdragon 600 which will kill the sales of Lumia 925, so, it could be a Lumia 825 instead of 830 - duo core processor (either S4 or Snapdragon 400)+ 1Gb ram again =.=, but bigger & 720p screen - something like a more expensive Lumia 625 because of higher spec. But now that sounds like a Lumia 920 all over again - pointless for such a product to exist. Im no analyst so i cant say for sure what is Nokia planning.

And i dont expect a Lumia 930, which is a 'normal size flagship' alongside a Lumia 1520 which is a 'giant size flagship', because Lumia 925 & 1020 is still very new.

They will save the Lumia 930 for next year, somewhere within April-May, to go head on with HTC's new flagship and Galaxy S5. Nokia used to reveal new flagships in September, but since the trend nowadays is 2 flagships per year (but aimed at different people), i suspect Nokia is doing the same as Samsung & HTC and changing their product release plans.

I believe there is a market for people who want powerful but not-so-big phones. 7XX, 6XX & 5XX will be mid end, and move on to low end. 5XX series should not cost more than RM 600.

My sister is already using an Asus Vivo ultrabook, typical core i5 + 4GB DDR3 + 14' 768p touchscreen (no GPU, only Intel graphics), RM 2100 only, damn nice that laptop. No DVD disc slot though. For me, still stuck on windows 7 (not upgrading because my lappy has no touch). Will probably go for a tablet instead later on.

I did update to the latest version, but hasnt noticed much difference, but it's probably bcuz i dun use it much - the Me tile is faster in every way in loading & opening each of my notifications including photos. Unless i want to check pages/groups, i will use the Me tile instead.

Facebook Beta improve performance is pretty noticeable and less crash.

Btw, WP's integrated FB quite limited when it comes to photo browsing/stalking.

I rarely browse the homepage newsfeed while on a phone - i just want to check my own notifications, comments, post posts/photos, & check in locations, already covered by the integrated FB. But i agree when u tap on some image on people's hub it redirects you to the browser. =.= They should just load the image within the people's hub, like how u open your own notifications and the photo appears full screen with comments below it.

As for the FB app, i just want to be able to post photo comments, like the desktop, if possible. I have lots of underused meme photos LOL.

Anyone know why the Nokia Pro Camera in those ads able to show those setting (flash, WB, AF, ISO, Shutter speed and EV) in few circles in one shot on screen while I only can see on top bar and only 1 circle when change the setting?

This merge could possibly speed up development of Windows Phone, and the speed of updates as well. Im seeing good things out of this actually. Haters gonna hate, especially among the tech communities online, because they keep dreaming of a Nokia Android phone LOL. Now, they can still keep dreaming if they want to. Adter using WP, Im NOT going back to Android.

Hopefully Nokia's legacy (camera, indestructible hardware etc etc) will be preserved by MSFT and ecosystem of WP will be improved from time to time.

Seeing this as something positive smile.gif

Also, hopefully no BSOD will appear in any WP phones in the future, as one of our forumers had it tongue.gif

BSOD is a feature of Windows (No, im not being sarcastic); in fact every OS has this feature called "crashing", just that in Windows it appears as blue screen. When hardware or a crucial software fails, any OS will crash. No idea what's the big deal with it, because every OS can crash, not just Windows.

IMO Nokia phones will still be Nokia, and wont change name (That would kill tyhe reputation, because Nokia is known for phones, not Microsoft, they cant name a Nokia phone "Microsoft Lumia... something". Microkia will now be something like Apple - a software company with its own hardware division as well. Just that the phones wont be named Microsoft, unless Microsoft makes their own Surface phone. This may be a good thing as far as hardware quality and updates are concerned.

I just realized I'm having issue with internet sharing over my digi data connection. When i turn on internet sharing and connect it using my windows 8 tablet, i am able to surf internet for a while. After that, internet on my phone won't work anymore, then the internet connection on my tablet face the same problem too.. What gives?

anyway, any of you able to use nokia music (offline, mixes, gigs, etc) with malaysian simcard and firmware (amber)

my friend can use nokia music with full features on his 620 while mine only have my own music sad.gif

Surprisingly some people can access Nokia Music Mix Radio while most of us cannot. I would also like to know how to access such feature on our Lumia 920 (which i don't think it's much possible at the moment). cry.gif

The overall Lumia design doesn't really credit to him only, part of the team own most of the credit and with Stefan Pannenbecker around, you will still get the same old Lumia design.

I want the next lumia to still be named Nokia Lumia... but if they dont wanna use the nokia name.. just name it Lumia 1520 (fifteen twenty) just like.. Xbox One instead of "Microsoft Xbox One"

I think it will be something like the Nexus devices. It will be Microsoft Lumia-something, then by Nokia. Just liek Google Nexus 4 - but u have LG's logo behind the device. Nokia is known for phones, not Microsoft, i dont think Microsoft is so stupid to drop Nokia's name altogether from their future smartphones.

Lumia 625 is 6-series but price slightly higher than the Lumia 720.

Thats why for RM 40 more 625 is the better phone, 4G is not found in many mid and low tier phones because it is expensive. Unless u dont want a big phone/want a higher ppi. 5 VS 6.7 MP camera, not much difference really. But i dont know if there is anything else missing in the 625 like compass, radio, etc. Like, Lumia 520 does not have a compass, Lumia 928 does not have the chip for FM radio.

But i believe they will be sold at Nokia stores (we don't have Microsoft stores here) and people will realise it's Nokia sooner or later. As long i get to enjoy their quality and PureView camera, i dont even care about the name change anymore.

Updated, glance settings and also touch settings come out as independent inside settings, instead of display+touch.

If I'm not mistaken, portico (GDR 1) is an update from MS. Amber and bittersweet shimmer (aka orange) are colours, they are updates from nokia.

guys,

anyone changed the 920 original housing to another/same color? did it yourself or at nokia center? if at nokia center, how long the time it took?

no.not yet..but they can swap out a motherboard in 20 mins....
