I think it needs to pop out the Clock on the dark lock screen first via the Front facing camera, then the double tap to wake only can happen. You can't wake a phone via double tap if it doesn't show the clock first, e.g. when you left it on the table in sleep mode or you never gesture your hand/move your head to look at the screen to. Hence "Glance".

Opps, very sorry. I thought "Glance" and "Touch" falls under the same category. Anyhow, the Double Tap you need to tap your two taps fast(around 0.5 seconds in between your 2 taps).

The Glance feature I set it to "Peek", so the time will only show when I look at my phone directly or use my hand to wave like I'm performing magic. Thus not using as much battery compared to "Always On" mode.

Technically your data will still be intact because you did not perform a hard reset. Did you on auto back up for your contacts/App list/Settings to your Microsoft Account?

Hi there, you can go to Settings > Extras+Info to check. If you have a Lumia Amber it will be displayed there.

I flashed my phone with the same method (using NSU for retail 3.0.8) because I can't wait for the OTA back then, the process was fairly simple. Do share with us if you managed to flash your firmware to Lumia Amber.

There is no candy crush for Windows Phone at the moment but there is Bejeweled Live + which is similar to Candy Crush.

There will be a new launch of hardware from Nokia around November where new hardwares will be bundled with Bittersweet Shimmer+GDR3, however, existing Lumias will get their love later this year(should be around December or late November.)

What I have to say about build Preview GDR 3,
custom ringtones and "x" to close apps are good.
Screen rotation lock is finally there.
Battery performance is just nothing much difference compared to Amber.
Nice to see there is a progress bar underneath the spinning cog.
PS: I actually dozed off last night while updating my phone when it was at the spinning cog, next morning the screen shows Done updating and everything was smooth.
This only updates the OS build and not the firmware so there is nothing much to download and update process was fairly quick.

Hi guys, I wanted to ask. Is your 920 still have dust at the front facing camera? Mine starting to collect a lot of dust. So far my 920 always activated with apps when I put it in my side pocket and I'm not sure is it because I used the "Double Tap to wake" function or is the dust that accumulated on the front facing camera that affects the screen.

Wrong! I've been using paypal by linking my Maybank back account to the paypal and using the Paypal app. No problem using Maybank debit card either for US store.

If you update through the Nokia Software Updater you will lose your data. Why don't you use OTA update which can save the hassle? You just need to update your extras+info only to get the OTA.
