my timing is just right, waiting for windows phone 8.1, by year end it's time for me to upgrade; my 920 will be 2 years old in December

Wait for 1320 My estimated price is 1200 - and yet almost same spec as 920, only camera is lousier (and 8GB + card slot). S'pore is getting it already so it shouldnt be long, unless u dun want 6 inches lol. Not to mention, battery 3400mAh, godlike for a duo core phone.

Camera is the reason I go 920, if not it is pretty useless lol 1320 is useless because camera sucks. 1020 is overpriced for its spec lol.

May be if 1020 drop till 1K by 2015 I might consider, but still snapping photo still too slow with 1.5GHz dual core on 41mp. So is kinda meh product compared to 920.

I would wait for 1020's successor; it's slow (the general rule, dun buy 1st generation products - 808PV not counted since it's not windows phone). But, if screen not at least 5 inches, i rather get 1520's upgrade.

920 is a diff first gen. it is Nokia's do or die phone.

To me, 920 is a 3rd gen to the 900 (and 800); i waited for windows phone 8, and made the right decision (imagine buying 900, 6 months later, u find out it's no longer supported). The reason why i see it this way, is that these 3 are flagship models (1020 and 808 are not flagships to me, they are niche models, catering a group of enthusiasts where camera is above everything to them).

920 didnt really have anything that is completely new (other than OIS) so chances are, it is less likely to have performance problems, or issues which you'd attribute to prototype/first generation stuff - poor optimization and buggy software. It's both personal intuition and knowledge from following tech news all these years; i was skeptical a duo core processor can handle that camera when 1020's specs were leaked.

Since i picked up 920 at launch day, by this year end im just in time again for a 2-year cycle upgrade - windows phone will be in 8.1 with more new features (that, if added to duo core phones, may slow them down a bit, or maybe, advanced features are not added), right on timing.

u got good timing on a great phone, if only I know a month ago that 920 drop to RM9xx i would buy liao lol. Now only know no new stock. might as well take lumia 525 as a stop gap phone.

First time on Wp 8 anyway. better try budget phone first.

Despite its being an older generation compare to S4, Note3, Nexus 5 and etc but i find that this phone is still a beast. Of course i am sadden by its "price drop". I pre-ordered the phone at 1999, while Lumia 900 was selling at 1400. But now the new Lumia selling for 1999 but Lumia 920 just selling for 1000-1100 with wireless charger. The pricing does not make sense!

Then secondly is the update. Tons of updates are available as checked in wpcentral.com but most of them do not come to Malaysia. Official updates that is. I was a big support for Lumia 920 when it was first launched. I bought one for myself and another for my dad. Mine still work perfectly but my dad's one entered factory twice, and the same symptom is appearing and just waiting the phone dies. (1-year warranty over)

Its not like i am an Lumia-anti but i hope the after service, and maintenance gets better. Slow updates and massive price drops are two most important features of an item. Well you see, i not yet mention the applications availability for windows 8.

Hopefully cracking/rooting and jailbreaking comes quickly..

Because, Snapdragon S4 chip was more expensive in 2012 and very cheap by late year 2013. You know, as phone parts get cheaper their price also get cheaper (to make way for new successors with new SoC). If you disregard the Exynos version we get for Galaxy S3, the international version of Galaxy S3 runs the Snapdragon S4 chip as well, especially those used in western countries and USA, because they need LTE unlike us. But, they get S4 (duo core) + 2GB RAM, our exynos model = quad core + 1GB RAM. S4 Pro (the quad core version) only appeared in year end and made its way to the international version of HTC Butterfly & Galaxy Note 2 (while our Note 2 & S3 suck exynos' overheating ass), and also Sony's Xperia Z back in Jan 2013.

So, Lumia 920's S4 chip isnt really as outdated as we think. And, androids lag on duo core while this phone is a beast with duo core. We'll see how things end up with Msoft enables real multitasking in 8.1 - but even so, it'll take 2-3 months as usual before we actually get the SW update, by then it's almost time for me to upgrade to new flagship anyway.

currently no stock for new set already, back then i dont know it drop till 900-1K , if I knew it I would buy it straight away.

I guess now have to settle with Lumia 525 since my Xperia phone spoil already, I am using budget phone now lol

man aren't those earphones that come with the phone sound great, not much better than my Hippo Shroom but definitely liking the bass, noise cancellation is better too.

The earphone was kept in the box since day one and now since my shroom has audio jack problem, guess I will stuck with this bass head oriented earphone.

Dun seem to have that option in Storage and press-hold on the video file itself also dun bring up anything about size.

Dropped my 920 from knee length face down and the screen cracked. Was quoted a fee of RM670 to change the screen.

Serious! Im so sorry to hear that. Never expected that from 920. I thought this was the toughest smartphone alive. did it land flat face down or at an angle?
