No la. Is it? Meaning that if I reload RM30 and don't subscribe to UMI then is more worth la is it, since I get 30 days of free calls right?

hi i am a digi user currently and would like to switch to umobile...currently i am using digi smartplan 58...i just realised that umobile package suites me more since...however, i am not sure of which package to sign on..
1.for an example usually i text 100 sms to non umobile users and call less than 100 minutes to non u mobile users each month...i am also more comfortable in getting 2gb data because 1gb seems to be quite little for me 2. if i subscribe to umi48 can i ask my parents to do "auto billing" just like my digi smartplan or i have to manually reload myself? 3. for umi48, once i have reloaded can i straight away enjoy the free call to all network and free sms to all network? i dont quite understand what is in the situation here and i hope someone can explain to me [QUOTE]To whom it may concern, I am a prepaid UMi user. One of the benefits I enjoy as a prepaid user is free calls/SMS to my family and friends who also use U-mobile which I receive when I reload. Another benefit is the minutes of free calls and free SMS given with the UMi plan. Unfortunately, the way the UMi plan calls/SMS are calculated is disadvantageous to me as a consumer. The free SMS/calls I receive from the UMi plan are used up first, even when calling/SMSing a U-Mobile number. The effect of this is to reduce/eliminate the benefit to me of having my friends and family also use U-Mobile. There is no practical difference between SMSing and calling U and non-U numbers unless I have used up all the free UMi minutes/SMS. I would like to request that for calls and SMS to U-Mobile numbers, the free calls/SMS received from topping up be used first before the UMi minutes/SMS. I would like to request that for calls and SMS to U-Mobile numbers, the free calls/SMS received from topping up be used first before the UMi minutes/SMS. 4. actually i was going to subscribe for u58 initially but when i looked carefully there are no free sms and they only give free calls. i hardly make any call each month and i think is not so worth it. 5. what are the advantages of u58 over umi48? and any of you can suggest me a plan? i dont like digi smartplan as if the coverage are too slow...in advance thanks for your help and sorry for my bad english |

Since you are hardly make calls, you may like to consider MB40 with U prepaid.
That will give you 2GB data for 30 days for RM40 and no freebies (except the U-U free calls from topping up). Compared with UMI48, it leaves you RM8 to spend on calls and sms, for example 100 sms to non-U lines. |

Hope you guys will stop complaining how U mobile deducts the free UMI calls. U Mobile are running a business and they are entitled to set the rules. If you don't like the plan or rules, you can always switch to another telco. However, as far as I know, there is no other major telco with prepaid option giving free minutes to all networks.

does anyone here work for umobile? I really need an insider help to get me out of my shitty situation now.
Im using a umobile postpaid line that is registered under my sis's name, and the thing is she is studying overseas and wont be back till end of next year. Meanwhile I might be jetting off by the end of this month and I dont want to pay RM30 ish every month for 1 year and not using the line, I just want to switch to prepaid. I asked the service centres and said its possible and fowarded me to their CS. And they refused to do it even if I could provide my sis docs. Ughhh, I really need help. |

Complain here is worthless, but as consumer we got the right to communicate with U and tell them what we want.Malaysian mentality of 'don't complain' is only valid for public forum where you're wasting everyone's time (like here), but if we take that to our rights as consumers then company just happy to take money and no need to improve service and offer. |
