so, the number with the prefix 0112 is a number that has been MNPed to Maxis(from which provider previously?) and you're called that number but it charges you despite having 200 minutes of free talk time(which I presume that its from the UMI prepaid plan)?

hmm...... as 0112 is a new number(as in not the conventional numbers that we use), so probably the system is not updated to identify the 0112 prefixed numbers as a number to be utilized with the free calls.

where are you at? and what type of connection that you had? umobile's 2g network(maxis) can be pretty unreliable at many times

try to contact the support team and try to get it resolved. But probably its that your area has a weak coverage as klang is quite big?

alright. Do tell us what's the resolve so that I can update this thread(with appropriate credits) and that the future users can benefit from it

For postpaid, the fees are more expensive as they need to pay for the 6% GST while prepaid users do not need to pay for it as the telco has absorbed it(There was a news about it quite some while ago).

Advantages of Postpaid:
1. No need to scare of out of credits during the times of need(you're billed at the end of the month)
2. Can have supplementary line(you can call your mom/dad to be the principal line and you'll be the subline then no need to pay )
3. Monitor your calls(can check via the online self care portal)
4. and etc etc

Postpaid is for those who wants reliability(don't want later in the jungle cannot call people because of no credit ) or if you're heavy user(but umobile's plans for postpaid doesn't really looks that attractive in which idk why)

Prepaid is a pay as you go type of service, so it is pretty good if you're light user(you need to pay a monthly commitment fee for postpaid while you can choose not to reload for a few months with prepaid)

well, supposedly. But, before we get some official statement from umobile, it is just a game of waiting

I wonder if we need to change the sim card as I've heard that Maxis users needs to change their sim card to activate their LTE.

I think most probably, but in the near future? I don't think so

but its not that hard though....... just that now..... WHERE IS LTE?

The partnership between Maxis and U Mobile is only for 2g and 2.5g as U Mobile doesn't have their own infrastructure for it. I believe that U Mobile will roll out their own service for LTE instead of using Maxis' LTE infrastructure(if they do then we should be able to use it by now)

and hopefully that their business can last till that time as being slow hurts(just look at Nokia)
