There's still a lot of things that needs to be improved.

I can see there are more and more agents and mobile phone shops selling top up and such after the last time I posted here.

That is great improvement. Plus, they have come in to Sabah and doing really well at the moment. I just hope that they have an official umobile store so we can replace the simcard etc. more conveniently.

uMobile, if you are reading this post, please consider opening a umobile store in Kota Kinabalu Sabah.

the speed is great when I went there a few months ago........ can get HSDPA with ease...... it used to be edge + certain locations with HSDPA  sweat.gif

Exactly. It's even faster than DiGi postpaid in most areas. Don't mention if DiGi prepaid, even slower. They earn so much money still don't wnt to improve their services. Damn you DiGi. I wonder why you guys still fall for DiGi's trap. They suck in every way u can think of. If you think their phones are offered cheap, you are wrong! The upfront payment kaw kaw so much you can buy a new phone outside without any contract.

Pair it with uMobile prepaid and you get superb value. No contract some more.

What about if I unsubscribe and re-subscribe to the same plan? Will that forfeit the free calls too? I always do that.

nope, it is not. That is, if you do call any U Mobile users.

For the amount of reload that you've reloaded, you will get the amount of minutes of free calls to u mobile numbers for the amount of reload of days.

For example, if you have reloaded RM30 then you will have 30 days of free calls to any u mobile numbers.

If I subscribe UMI18 for example, it comes with 30 minutes of free calls to any numbers of any network.

Now, the policy of U Mobile is that free calls given by the UMI18 is used first then only the free call given by the reload.

So, if I've used up all of my 30 minutes of the free calls given by UMI18 to call numbers of other operators, then only I call any umobile numbers, then it will be more "worthwhile". While if you called U Mobile's first then only you call numbers of other operators, it would mean that you'll have less free call time to call numbers from other operators.

If this has been implemented, I can officially say bye bye to U mobile.

Thank you for ur service in 2013. It was fun.

No la. Is it?

Meaning that if I reload RM30 and don't subscribe to UMI then is more worth la is it, since I get 30 days of free calls right?

Guys for the free roaming in Singapore, so if I'm already on UMI, do I still get charged for Data? Do they have any sort of links in Singapore that enables me to be still using the subscribed plan? Hmm..

Also, what's up with the free roaming when I still get charged for RM0.55 for receiving calls? Why are they calling it free roaming?

I believe why they're saying free roaming is because of that you're paying the local rates at singapore(and probably some premium on top of it) instead of the normal sg rate + roaming price,  but still, it will cost more than our daily normal calls because our currency is much smaller than singapore.

What's the point when receiving calls also need to charge. That's not called FREE roaming lor.. So misleading leh..

Better if I buy a local SIM pack. No fees for receiving calls.. Right? Though I must admit their rates are quite attractive compared to other telcos.

Like what I've said, they will charge some premium on top of it or they won't be able to gain profit from it.

If you're overseas, it is almost always the better choice for you to buy a local sim at there  tongue.gif

Yeah, true.

But I thought initially was that the stated "FREE ROAMING" means not needing to pay anything at all when receiving calls when in Singapore. I mean, DiGi or Maxis don't charge you for roaming on the overseas countries' networks also right? Only charge you when you make a call or send a SMS.

But at least they do offer some good rates for calling and receiving calls la. Still, it's wiser to get a local prepaid card. So that you don't get charged for receiving calls from your friends in Malaysia.
