Anyone know working environment as a well test engineer in Cetco Oilfield.Working offshore is require wondering how often is it might be and the allowance?
Currently working as a design engineer oil and gas also. Going to offshore only once or twice a year, allowance will be 500 a day.
Experience only 1 year +, I'm was recruited and have no intention on leaving current company but if the offer is good and less workload might consider.

I was recently told that of a basic salary for a fresh engineering graduate working in oil and gas (a PSC in Msia) to be RM6K, which I thought could be the highest salary for a fresh graduate in oil & gas Malaysia.
Any other company offering higher than that?
Im curious to know.

Any other company offering higher than that? Im curious to know. I know some drilling companies pay higher than that for the engineering graduates. Especially for their training program/fast track program. But it is not massive recruitment like the operating companies. very limited. I'm talking about the basic salary but if total salary including offshore allowance, I guess most of the fresh graduates in the service companies (i.e slb, BH, HAL etc) will get more than RM6K...

QUOTE(firdaus87 @ Aug 16 2013, 08:57 PM) Anyone here ever heard of company name anjur ekar s/b? Anjur Ekar provides habitat support, they're a sub-con for offshore construction main-cons. Not much engineering to it - they usually employ habitat technicians and operation engineers, that's about it I believe. This post has been edited by Dealucis: Aug 21 2013, 09:29 AM
