If i joined OnG consultant company as an intern, would that provide me with any advantage to join service company later on after i graduated?

QUOTE(azraeil @ Aug 28 2013, 08:13 PM) Fuhhhhhh cuti sebulan from LYN and the thread has grown (even with some side flirtations summore .... hahahahahahah). Just got back from 1 month in Malaysia, duit habis macam air ...... demmmm. This month punya credit card bill sure mesti a shocker nih .... haiiishhhh. Ngantuk weiii .... Jet lag ... bro azraeil, mahu tanya sikit lah.. does the experience with consultant really help to join geo-service company? and do geo service companies frequently hire fresh gad with electrical engineering? often heard service company like slb, halli hire fresh grad but its hard to hear fresh grad hiring in geo service company like western geco, cgg veritas..

QUOTE(syarehey @ Aug 28 2013, 09:30 PM) Hi, to get into WG,u need to apply through SLB and specify your desired segment. And yes they do hire ppl coming from electrical background. It does not stopping you from doing the surveying work as they will provide an intensive training for it. the training is really helpful, teach you from zero to something its a nice thing then. i ditched an offer from OnG consultant as consulting line doesnt really suit me. and i did wonder, does the experience from consultation firm really help you to get into geo service company..

Bachelor / Master degree in geophysics, geology, physics & engineering (elect/mecha). Strictly CGPA above 3.40. Fresh grad / experienced hire. PM me for details only if u have above criteria. www.cgg.com seriously cgg only takes 3.4 student? I'm really interested to join cgg doing data acquisition and processing.
