Thank you for your advice.I worked at a venture capital firm which focuses on technology-based companies during half of the break. I guess I should include that too in my CV and start applying.feeling scared but I believe there is an opportunity for me to enter the O&G industry.Waiting for my one opportunity..

Don't leave any working experience out. Heck, I would even list my working experience in KFC if I worked there as well.

Like the above posted mentioned, Scopetel is a good place to start.

Emerson does employ telecom. majors too as they provide DCS integration services, with platform telecommunications network included as part of their scope.

Bartec Vodec specialises in PA/GA systems, so they're worth looking at as well.

I suppose subsurface service companies including Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes and Weatherford do employ quite a number of people coming from electronics engineering backgrounds and I doubt majoring in telecom. will harm your chances with them. Give it a go with them.

MMHE is Malaysia's top shipyard and it is alluded to be world class yard with experience in building world class structures like SSPC FPS Gumusut Kakap, SSPC TLP Malikai. It has a subsidary of MISC and Petronas.

Salary is top of the range if you know how to negotiate.

A lot of benefits and rewards if you know the way.

Some rumors said might be thousand of employees will receive the VSS soon due to project not too much.

Who is going to build super structures?

The other two (based on today's assets) can only do mini structures, not impressive.

Who knows what happens tomorrow. Ramunia and SDE already closed.

The super-structure previous is Semi FPS and I am the one of employees build it. We have Spar Kikeh, Cendor, Kinabalu and etc. However as current only have TLP-Malikai. Not much project coming in and not like previous.

They are mini company in previous, but now they are giant which buy out operator company (Newfield) and drlling (Seadrill), also had delivered FPSO Berantai which fabricated at Keppel and so many of achievement milestones.

Not sure if this is the correct thread but I applied for a job in BP and received the email that my experience matched all the requirements and will be reviewed further. How long more will I heard back from them?

Saw in MMHE a FPS rocket launcher some time ago.

Need to get Bumi Armada, a Malaysian company to use MMHE. Now there are 2 FPSO of BA at Keppel.

Come on la...i work for a shipping company and based at MMHE for 1 year now. The culture in MMHE is bad to the bone. There are scrapping off the bottom of the barrel. Now no more new job except Malikai and those lousy marine repair/ship drydocking work which will never turn a profit.

MMHE don't respect client....their customer. Also the corruption in this yard is like cancer. Buy safety sign for ship order from Greece. Just imagine. Pasar mlm also jual safety sign...u buy from Greece.

Many contractor now facing bankruptcy. No more job. MMHE also dont pay contractor payment. Even rental car given to Shell, MMHE dont pay then car rental company tarik the car...ekeke. This what happen. I work there 1 year already maa...
