Hi, i'm new user to this bank

today i called to their customer service to ask about internet banking.

i had register my mobile number at atm but their system keep showing my number was not registered.

then the customer service girl said i registered online purchase otp but not online banking otp and ask me to go atm register my mobile number again.

i remember there is only one option at atm to register mobile number.

so is that true that there're 2 type of otp we need to register?

As far as I know, there’s only one type.

I registered via atm, but unsuccessful.

Went to branch to register, then succeeded.

to register OTP for internet banking via credit card - only one method, fill form over counter. for debit card, can be done via ATM.

Last two years ago, I through this situation.

They got two OTP system. 1. Online banking 2. Online transaction ( e-commerce)

Actually you can ask CS to register same phone number on other systems if you already register either of them.

For RHB Visa Signature, online transaction cash back, it specifies:

The system will award the Cash Back if the transaction has the following
“Transaction Mode = M, D, S, and U”
IBK transactions are eligible to earn Cash Back

Does anyone knows if Bigpay, Boost, TNGeWallet, Grabpay eligible or not?

ONLINE - 3D so OTP is required.
BIGPAY-EC KUALA LUMPUR MY
BOOST APP 3D-EC KUALA LUMPUR MY

ONLINE - SSL, No OTP required
BOOST APP SSL-EC KUALA LUMPUR MY
GRABPAY ECOM SSL-EC PETALING JAYA MYS

NOT online - Direct Debit (No OTP)
TNG WALLET ECOMM 3 KUALA LUMPUR MY

If you reload TnG e-wallet using OTP (not saved card), it will be ONLINE. I avoid it.

If TNG ewallet is online,
RM1500 Bigpay/Boost/Grabpay + RM1000 TnG ewallet (Online) -> Cashback RM30 (capped-Online).

If TNG ewallet is NOT online,
RM1500 Bigpay/Boost/Grabpay + RM1000 TnG ewallet (Auto Debit) -> Cashback RM30 (capped-Online) + RM2 (Others-0.2%), Total RM32.

So you can decide how to reload TnG ewallet, either ONLINE or AUTO DEBIT.

If 3D (with OTP) or SSL verification, you should get online CB. But you rarely achieve 6% effective CB.

If you want to spend on TNB only, I suggest
RM1500 online (2%) + RM1000 offline (0.2%) -> Total CB RM32.

RM2500 online (2%) -> Cashback RM30 (capped).
RM3500 online (6%) -> Cashback RM30 (capped).

ok, thanks for the information.

RHB should improve their workflow, their agent should inform us earlier when we pick up the card at branch.

Now i have to go to their branch again if the atm method didn't work
