I told her not much benefits and the hassle of getting a pin to login online banking. I was asked to go to the nearest branch to do this. She promised me will look into it and check with the relevant people.

Anyway, after a serious consideration, I called for cancellation again on Thursday after being retained.

That's my target each month.... Their cash back payout is at times not standardized.

I received this SMS too. I had to call about 2-3 times to cancel both my RHB CCs( Travel Money and Visa Signature). The last time I called, one of their reps did a report for me and said that they will proceed to cancel the card. But now when I check via RHBonline, both cards are still there and I received the same SMS too today. Does this mean that my card is still actually active?

Yes, I called to terminate and will ask them to send me email or letter.
I seldom terminate CC la. So far only HSBC, SCB and UOB.
HSBC, I have received from email. UOB received via letter. SCB, I don't recall anything but nothing on my SCB online anymore. I still have their online banking for my savings account. I know there's a risk here.

I see. I mean write in to terminate CC is better than calling. In that way, when the bank fail to do as per instructed, can just forward that email/letter/fax to a higher authority/department 

I have cancelled my RHB platinum card few months ago. But i check my credit report from BNM, it still in my record.

Should i call RHB or BNM to clarify this?

I have no idea about this, so please verify. It takes several months for the CC termination record to be reflected in the credit report. If I am not mistaken, 6 months. Need someone to verify this though.

i called them concerning about CCRIS report and customer service call me back they helped me email to relevant department.. that is why fast.

furthermore, i cancelled at my home branch

first i go to my home branch got the letter of cancellation and the officer and me sign on it

second i call hotline number ask CS to speed up the cancellation cause i told her i will check my CCRIS report next month

received call from her and she stated email to relevant department

next month i check after 15th no more record on CCRIS
