Guys, for y510p and y410p.
What is the difference between swappable ultrabay/odd for y510p and swappable odd for y410p?
Means only for y510p can swap extra graphic card while y410p only can swap optical disk drive?

both model also can swap with any of ultrabay accessories

anyway, if u wish to add on extra graphic card, should consider Y 500 / Y510P , as so far extra graphic for Y400/ Y410P pretty hard to order

i bought my y400 (freedos, installed win 7) around a month ago and i seem to be having a problem. whenver i turn on the laptop in the morning (after its been off for hours at night), the touchpad works for the first 5 minutes or so and then it doesnt respond. even the LMB and RMB buttons do not work. tried turning it off and on through the Fn keys, but it still doesnt work. and when i turn off or restart after that, it gets stuck at the shutting down screen. i have to hold down the power button to force it off, which i dont think is a good idea to do every single day. after that when i turn on the laptop, everything works fine. any suggestions?

NO, when you downgrade from windows 8 to windows 7, Your One Key Recovery will not work, Your drivers provided in your local disk D will not work, and your license will not work for win 7

Clean windows 8 an mSATA worked perfectly, but i found out the OEM license in the y500 cannot be detected, OKR will not work also, So i reverted it back to it's original state, since no point sacrificing speed for annoyance.

using lates driver? what version os using now?

Okay guys.. I REALLY NEED YOUR RESPONSE for this matter!

I just bought a game called "Remember Me" and I found out that when I played it, only my onboard graphic card is used, whereas my secondary graphic card is idle. In a way, my SLI won't work on this game!

After some research, I found out that I need an SLI profile for this game, and the profile is provided only on the 320.xx drivers... Currently I'm having 311.27 driver (downloaded from Lenovo website) and there's still no new driver for Geforce GT750M..

Someone from this forum told me that they used driver version 320.14 beta and 320.18 (they chose the ones for GT740M) and reported thheir games ran fine. But after doing some research on other forums, some people reported that they have faced black-screen+BSOD after using those drivers..

So now I'm in a conflict. Should I wait for a 320.xx driver for my laptop's graphic card or should I just use the 320.14 beta or 320.18 driver and hope everything goes fine? SIFUs! I'm begging for ur help

all drivers from lenovo website since mine is free dos version, except for the nvidia drivers. using win 7 x64

im using 320.18 for my y400, everything is fine. too fine i might add, since i didnt notice any improvement in metro last night or tombraider. however since yours is y500 i dunno if it'll be stable for you too or not. maybe other y500 users can comment?

izzit u update to latest version of driver?

Hurm, well someone else from this forum told me it's fine to use the 320.14 beta driver, but they didn't mention what laptop they're using...

And btw, that same person told me not to use 320.18 version as that driver is buggy.. I've read about this as well from other users at Nvidia forums.. Good for u though, u aren't experiencing any problems.

Try go to Nvidia Control Panel

Manage 3D Settings --> Select Remember Me

SLI rendering mode --> Select Force alternate frame rendering 2

If the performance is worse, u can always restore it back to the original settings.
This way can get my MMO game run in SLI too.

Thanks for the info bro! Tried ur steps and the game now runs in SLI!

However, there is a slight performance dip at some point of the game.. Guess I really need to have the proper SLI profile for this game. But nvm, I'll just enjoy this game for the moment being

finished the game. dunno why urs dont work on sli. coz mine by default just works. no lag nothing. i have to say though, its a pretty good concept of a game. juz with slight minor bugs sometimes.

bro, what driver are u using for ur laptop? i mean the graphic card's driver..

I know that this game has an SLI profile, but that only comes with the 320.xx version of drivers... and sadly mine is the default one (provided by Lenovo at website) 311.27...

mines default as well. and i finished it without any lag or problem.
