Cyberview To Woo 90 Global Technology Companies To Cyberjaya


CYBERJAYA, Oct 3 (Bernama) -- Cyberview Sdn Bhd has embarked on a mission to attract 90 global technology companies to Cyberjaya in an effort to re-energise its role as a multimedia super corridor city of choice.

Its Managing Director, Faris Yahaya said the companies could help raise Cyberjaya ecosystem through nine areas of focus.

He said the emphasis on the nine areas did not mean that Cyberview had strayed from its plan to turn Cyberjaya into a global information and communication technology (ICT) hub.

"Rather, we are more focused now. Malaysia has 35 cyber cities and centres and to differentiate Cyberjaya, we are striving to reposition Cyberjaya into a world's preferred, complete and attractive technology hub within four years," he told reporters after the launch of the Cyberjaya Creative Playground Festival here Friday.

Faris said five of the areas were ICT-based, namely information security, creative content, mobile Internet, cloud computing, and big data analytics while four others were under technology clusters, namely green technology, biotechnology, wearable technology, and smart grid.

"Some of the companies identified made the global top 10 brands in the nine focal areas.

"We cannot expect all the 90 companies to be here, but if we can get at least 10 per cent of them, we will be able to put Cyberjaya on the global map again," he said, adding that Cyberview had yet to initiate discussions with them.


"We are in the process of preparing ourselves because we want to make sure that we have something to offer them and it's not going to be a cold call," he said.

Among top companies identified were Google, Cloudera and Ubisoft.

Google did have a decent facilities in kl already if im not mistaken.

Those who have bought cbj die die also have to say cbj is good. Because their mindset have already changed to +ve. No good also turn good.

Those who have missed the boat earlier or not afford to buy cbj property will blast blast all -ve impact of cbj because they jealous.

Milktea n makeyouhappy only know how to flame other people.. especially hitting syazwan by saying people like him n me can't afford to buy houses thts why support affordable housing.. IMHO, i hope cyber got a lot of affordable housing to make sure investors like the both of you lose money!

every major property area should have mix of properties. cannot just be so called castle in the air. cyberjaya is big enough for Pr1ma and will certainly have medium cost properties eventually.

calm down bro, syazwan, me and twincharger as you can see from the post either used to study, work or have a house here....we dont really say we hate cyber, in fact we love it and have some sort of emoitional attachment to it....i was a student in MMU as well in cyberjaya since year 2000-2001...even after that still stay here....wasnt able to secure any job in cyber and get a job in shah alam and puchong still willing to travel from here....

we are just sharing ground experience on what could be improve so that cyber will prosper...

we are just sharing realistically what should be done to improve cj. Currently i think almost all developer are too ambitious with their pricing.

condo? cyberia ler...subsale still can get sub 300k++....though its an old condo that already look like an apartment...

u want new development same price can get studio...
