for those of you not planning to do anything with your money and plan to just keep it in cash...

targeted by june 2013 sgd:myr to be 2.55 vs current 2.5, that's 2% difference however difference in fd rates is around 2.3%, sg 1% and msia 3.3% per annum... therefore it is slight better to keep it in myr

would recommend to keep half in sgd half in myr... but of course putting it in FD is of the last resort and only for the amount needed during emergency, est 6 months of income

Er, so ... does banking pay more than engineering or the other way around? When you start work you $3k and he $1k? And now you $10k and he $7k?

Finally Friday rclxm9.gif , so busy making coffee and photocopies for my boss. Banking more, if not Shenton Way and Marina will be crowded with people wearing helmets and yellow water boots instead of coat and ties. We started work he 800 minimum wage, then me 2.0, now he 1.6 and me 3.2 like that lo. Too bad we not considered fresh grad, if not can get the median pay of fresh grad now. Happy weekend all my country men and women, hidup! notworthy.gif

interbank rate and over counter cash market is diff... if you want to get higher... do remttance, no cash handling... use cash only if you want to change myr to sgd.. cause they need more cash

The more tax you need to pay, the more blessing you have. Anyone also want to pay few millions for tax if possible.

Guys, just to confirm.
Can we withdraw our initial deposit straightaway after the account is opened with bank?

I never knew foreigners like us who wish to open a saving account required so much deposit shocking.gif
