In  my understanding, most Singapore companies do not hire fresh grads from other countries that often. Normally they would prefer experienced person.

They seem reluctant because they have a certain quota to hire foreigners. That's why they keep those quota for experienced person.

Last time, those are the options I used to apply. But finally I got this job thru recommendation.

And yea, another option, try going into their website as well.

Good luck!

In addition to that, a foreign fresh grad in Singapore is competing with graduates of six public universities in Singapore.

If that is not enough, the foreign fresh grad is competing with graduates of the 5 polytechnics in Singapore.

The Singapore employer would hire a fresh grad with a Diploma say in IT, from one of the 5 polytechnics than a foreign fresh grad from Malaysia with a BSc in Computer Science.

6 public uni already? I thought 3 only, with another one just start operating. For fresh graduate, also take into the account of the quality of the degree. The 2 local unis here are almost top of the world. So unless you are US/UK Ivy League, your degree already lose out on top of other disadvantages like quota and local network.

Ask your friend to PM me. I might be able to help out if his/her CV is good.

Is he/she interested in FS companies in HK or Indonesia? There's some openings now that I'm looking for people to fill up.

If you got P1 EP or PEP then surely can get after 1 year. Less than that also probably no problem

Best rate is change money and take over the border, bank in at JB. Alternatively use money changer remittance services, or Maybank or cimb I guess.

Wow big role izzit? Maybe he wants you to be really keen to the job even after explaining the job role to u, then only start the hiring process..  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

Not a big role.

haha. I'll 100% bypass a job where I can meet the CEO easier that meeting my pals. Why would a company need a 'CEO' to brief you about the work role? unless you are applying for a very senior manager role or deputy CEO ?
*
Just a business development executive

To me it's a positive hiring process, let you know your job expectation before any thing else. I like it whenever matters are made clear for me to consider and decide.

Yup, maybe u r right.

how do you guys normally go for an interview when you are in Malaysia? There is a company invited me to have a chat next week so does that mean i will have to stay in hotel? Should I keep staying in Sg and find job within that 30 days staying period?

My friends all say no to me to stay for few days due to the landlord
