Of course the optical cable isn't included, but you can get cheap ones easily. True sometimes the cheapo ones slip out easily so be careful. Right now looks like I'll be going the way of the ori MS HDVGA cable...

The 3rd party vga i bought (~50) has extremely poor shielding, a little em spike and the screen will black out for a sec or two, and if a strong em source is around, video artifacts appear. After 3-4 months, i had enough and bought an ori m$ vga, now everything is fine.

using VGA connection on a LCD TV doens't seems to be that good.
cause I tested on mine using VGA .. it has like a layer of brightness.. |

i also currently have change from MS component to MS VGA........
...but i think it looks better on my lcd TV......its more crisp........... ..i also use digital optical...fiber optical cable...(whatever u like to call it... |
