So guys, does this mean it's worth it to use VGA connections to LCD TVs?

I'm aching to try out my 360 on VGA to my Philips 32" LCD, but scared worse than component.
*
definitely use vga bro. it's the only way to get 1:1 pixel thingy (LCD 1360x768 - X360 1360x768). donno about the diff between ori and tipu one.

btw, component on my 32 sharp bx5 looks quite bad. scaling just sucks for lcd, unless sony maybe?

Forget about the 3rd party cables. None of them work as advertised on higher resolutions.

That may be too for the "Dragon" brand. But I've heard good things about the 3rd party VGA cables made by Joytech and XCM(XCM 360 5 output cable). Does anyone have any experience using these icon_question.gif ? Will need to get a VGA cable for my new LCD. rclxm9.gif

After spending so much money on your monitor and LCD, I bet you just wanna get the best quality for your setups instead of worrying whether what you're seeing 'could' be better if you're using the original cables right?

The cost differences for the cables (relative to Xbox + VGA) is too small. Just stick with the official cable would be my recommendation. smile.gif

Nope it can't do 1080p. The max resolution is 1680 x 1050. Only 24" and above can do 1080p. 720p is good enough for me. I can have more time to do some savings on my future LCD TV.

LCD TV is way beyond my reach atm. If I sell to you my 22" Dell also still can't afford to buy one. cry.gif

i have dragon vga cable... used it on my dell 20", don't see any problems, colours looked fine (i believe my eyesight is still ok tongue.gif ). although i havent tried it myself, i've heard ppl say that 3rd party vga cables will hv problems on larger displays, like LCD TVs and so on... so i recommend original MS cable.

Hmmm. More food for thought. The MS VGA HD cable with optical is now RM 103 only on PA.
