the best thing to do is go to a store and ask them to place em side by side... if you can tell the difference then go with the r7 if you can't you can take the s7 and save some $$$ for some speakers hehehehehe

i compared them side by side and decided to go with the r7

cool. now if only i can get my gf to shut up about it...RM4000 can buy loooootsa shoes!

Maybe you can post some reviews and shots of your new LCD. smile.gif

still trying to fine tune it...now running in 1080i after a bit of adjusting (720p was to jaggy for me). but with the default settings my 20' ultrasharp PQ was way better. maybe i should try using the vga cable (1360x768 - pc mode) with it.

QUOTE(runner @ Apr 11 2007, 04:44 PM)
samsung slimfit 32inch widescreen support hdtv as well right? how bout the PQ with 360?
*
i think the ones sold here do not support 720p. based on my own experience, CRT PQ is waaay better than lcd even the sony bravias...but that's what my brain+eyes tell me laa

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Apr 11 2007, 08:16 PM)
is it only dell ultrasharp can automatic scale the reso? i dunno how to say that but i think is something like that smile.gif Is there any another 19 or 20 inch lcd can do so?
*
i think any lcd above 1k should be able to do so properly..like my prev 2007wfp but expect washed out PQ if ur planning to connect via vga

if u don't mind the size and weight, go for it. i'd take crt over lcd anyday!

So guys, does this mean it's worth it to use VGA connections to LCD TVs?

I'm aching to try out my 360 on VGA to my Philips 32" LCD, but scared worse than component.
*
definitely use vga bro. it's the only way to get 1:1 pixel thingy (LCD 1360x768 - X360 1360x768). donno about the diff between ori and tipu one.

btw, component on my 32 sharp bx5 looks quite bad. scaling just sucks for lcd, unless sony maybe?

By using VGA connection, can it display in 1080i? I'm using Sharp 42" LCD TV btw.
*
depends on the highest vga mode the lcd allows. mine 32" bx5 can only go max 1360x768 over vga. 1080i only works with component

QUOTE(DjiNn @ Apr 20 2007, 03:04 AM)
using VGA connection on a LCD TV doens't seems to be that good.

cause I tested on mine using VGA .. it has like a layer of brightness..
*
i think it's more noticeable on lcd monitor cause on lcd tv, you can tweak the picture settings a bit more
