A question, as stated in 1st page -
4. Petrol [At all petrol pump only (MCC 5542)

I did swipe a transaction at cashier and MCC for that cashier transaction is 5542. Looked like this transantion is fall within PETROL.

But the T&C did mentioned only dispenser petrol oump will taken into rebate calculation.

My question is....how HLB going to differentiate whether the 5542 is made at pump or cashier?

Which petrol station did you go? Wanna go there to do some shopping.

Since you called on 30Jul and request for 1st of month, so I guess they gen your next statement on 1Aug. (That is real quick.)
Maybe since your next statement is generated hence your last statement balance become overdue.

So, if you wish to change to 1st of month, you should have call to change after that. (I time my call for my case.)
In your case, call on 2Aug onward. Then your next statement would not be 1Aug and not 17Aug but 1Sep. So you next statement contain transaction from 18Jul until 1Sep (1.5mth), and due on 21Sep (> 2mth since 18Jul!)  icon_idea.gif
The moral of the story, call after the statement day you wish to change to.

P.S. I like my statement due dates to fall a few days after my payday.  laugh.gif

yes should call after the statement date and do not trust 100% what the CS told you....perhaps...they can twist n turn...
anyhow i gt it waive.. ( have to see after my aug payment if they really waive)

btw not sure if this is applicable here... for those who dine in menya musashi in isetan 1 utama... it is not under dining category as the receipt/cashier is under isetan... so no rebate if you choose dining... nt sure if there is rebate as department store??? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Eat Paradise at Isetan 1 Utama uses the 5311 MCC.
That is under Departmental Store (confirmed via OCBC Titanium on 18 Feb 2013), untested via HLB WISE.

Wow, you have so many CB CC drool.gif

Would like to know, for your Wise + OCBC Ti + AMEX, do you change your statement date to have:
(1) due date falls at month end just after your payday to make full payment?

or

(2) move due date based on available cash rebates round the month to max up the cash back for each card?

All my cards (Wise,MB2Kard,OCBC Ti,Watami, etc) due at month end to optimize my cash flow.
Though a bit inconvenient to calculate monthly expense and monthly CB according to calendar month, but I figured the cash flow outweigh the convenience. Just keep in spreadsheet to monitor CB utilized. I am tracking all my transactions anyway. icon_rolleyes.gif

I did browse the site and luckily they have good info there, but just want to know if there's anything else out there.

Thanks.

What is the fastest way to get HLB Wise card? By fax/email/branch or is there a Instant Card Centre?

Hi everyone, i just got my wise card.

May i know what number to all in order to check the MCC code?

I've paid my Digi online RM50, I would like to try to call them for the MCC code before i help my family member pay their bill~

Btw, does paying Digi using online included in the Wise rebate?

It does make sense to me.

But what do you mean by cash flow outweigh the convenience?

Cash flow = nett income?

Meaning that you prefer the flexibility to manoeuvre your nett income rather than put it in the SA to pay for your CC?

This is crazy...I went to three branches of HL and experienced unsatisfied services.
I've obtained the credit card application form and it's so thick!! May I ask if the normal way of applying is through branches? Is that how you guys did yours?

Do you know whether there's any free gift that they can give for new application? I wanna wait for roadshows but no idea when there would be one.

How thick is your "thick"?

Last week, I went to a HLB branch to apply for Wise CC & the application form only consists of 2 A4 paper with 4 pages of infos & details.

On my application form, top left side, stated it is version 009 (January 2013). How about yours?

Mine seems to be the same one as yours, but it's 6 pages of application form and additional 8 pages of infos.
This is thick to me because I didn't have to fill in so many things compared with OCBC, Citibank, SC.

Did you get any gift with your application? =) And have you heard from them on your status yet?

Thanks!

It is just my way of handling my cash flow lah, i.e. get paid, clear debt, keep cash for daily use, put balance into eFD (if got balance lah tongue.gif ), get paid, and the cycle continue... icon_rolleyes.gif

Guys,

Do we need so much supporting documents for salaried employees? I thought 3 months pay slip should be sufficient.

Any one here mind to clarify on it? Thanks.

I asked the same. They answered "if you don't submit the docs, we can't guarantee the success rate...the more docs you can give, the better". So, what can I say to that when they throw that at me dry.gif
