Hello.
I want to replace the default maxis Thompson router with a tplink tl-wr841nd. The tplink is stock firmware, fresh from the box. It has a supports unfi sticker and I've used one of these on a unifi connection before. I'm at a landed home though, so my btu is a white tm Alcatel lucent l-240-gp, not a huawei or zte btu. I've looked through some guides and tried setting it up but I haven't been able to connect to the internet Any help would be appreciated >< |

Maxis is up to their old tricks again. Youtube starts buffering as soon as it hits 9 p.m. at my area. Must be running out of bandwidth.
Best part is I can stream Youtube all day long without issues, but apparently Maxis decides too much Youtube is bad for me so I have to stop watching from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. |

QUOTE(bansai @ Nov 8 2013, 11:49 AM) I suspect the issue lies with Maxis's throttling hardware/software as opposed to it being a DNS issue as there is no problem streaming Youtube during non-peak hours.QUOTE(erichhl @ Nov 8 2013, 01:26 PM) I've already try google dns and open dns still same, youtube buffering a lot... Does your issue occur during peak hours (8 pm - 12 am) or the whole day?this happen to me since last week... |

YouTube loading is bullshit, it's so slow, sometimes YouTube automatically changes the quality to a lower quality. This is happening all day long.
Not only that, but even loading pictures tend to be slow. Especially on other computers/laptops connected to the home network. Hopefully next year we will get better ISPs.. maybe TIME 100Mbps |
