No initial deposit required, just maintain the balance to avoid $2 charges. are you sure you asking for the right bank account type?the time i opened a DBS, no initial deposit needed but i got my EP already by that time.
You are making a wrong assumption here. employer only help apply for EP. MOM is the one issue the EP. after successfull application by employer, they will pass you the IPA, then with you relevant documents, make appointment with MOM, submit needed document, if not mistaken, 5 working days will do.
I have learnt in the past that we need to read everything with a pinch of salt, then use our rational to evaluate the whole situation. MOM/ICA rejects numbers of application on a daily basis, they already issued a press statement that there is no ban on certain nationality or East Malaysia for this subject matter. East Malaysia do not specialised in breeding people who commit crime, it's really unfair to single them out to be the culprit. Criminal offenders can be from any part of the world, let alone Malaysia. sos Let's remind us not to be insensitive.

How many are rejected? Do you have a figure from a concrete source? i.e. the MOM or the Singapore government? What sources are mentioning it? The fact is there are still East Malaysians getting their work passes approved and renewed. Do not believe everything reported on the media. It can be used as a tool for certain party. It's also funny that you keep telling people to contact the Acting Minister for Manpower- Mr. Tan when MOM have already made press statement in regards to your doubt. Have you contacted him?
And you are missing the point, this is not about the approval rate for East Malaysians but your initial comment about banning the East Malaysians.

No initial deposit if u gt ur EP already. The problem is that I don't have my EP now. Can you tell me where you open your account? Which branch? What do you mean by submit form? Is it me going to submit the form personally or the employer will help me going to submit it?

No, I opened an account with POSB Bukit Panjang Branch with just my IPA. Not EP. I this is my 3rd time stating this. You got your IPA already, means you just need to go to EPSC after u complete your medical check-up and submit the necessary documents as requested in the IPA. After that, they will tell you when to collect your EP.
