I'll be moving down to Singapore next Saturday. Was wondering if I could bring in my used electronics such as Mac Mini and Xbox or do I have to declare it at the customs?

Thanks with only Sofa/Bed/Dining table. not sure worth the efford. Also many complaining the item got damage due to transportation.

we are planning to buy our dinning table, bedframe and sofa from Lorenzo JB. not sure worth the journey or not since we do not have a car and we will be hiring a "driver" to bring us around, one day $300...

but i read at somewhere that lorenzo in JB is not really that cheap since they have presence in SG.. something like a $2000 sofa would cost around RM4500... is this true?

About the same. In KL I believe it's about 2.8k now. For SG.. I think it's about 2.5k + 16%
Personally, if you still have exam papers to go, take it in KL. Otherwise you can go SG. SG has no study leave/exam leave for you.

This kind of company can leave asap. Good company should encourage the employee to upgrade themselves for employee's own future. Best company is they sponsor your course, without any obligation. Normally study/exam leave 3 to 5 days per year.

Not really actually, if they grant you leave for study or examination, how they can guaranteed that you will still wok in the company after you complete the study, i do think company take this in consideration before they provide exam/study leave.

It will be difficult to get job in regular Company for fresh graduate, not to say OnG company.

Find Job in what company also hard, sometimes due to several reason:
-your expected salary is higher than they intend to offer.
-your qualification is not enough.
-your university is not recognise(singapore company doesn't know all malaysia private and local uni, just few top listing)

just saying doesn't mean what i say is correct, i could be any of it or maybe more,
coming down to SG for job hunting is quite efficient as you be available anytime, but the thing is you must give yourself at least three month as normal room for rent is minimum three month,unless you backpack.

maybe you can try job market online search first. see how the market going now before you decide anything

There are no such room with a toilet other than master room in singapore.
normally the price listed out is fixed due to the market price control and nego is not a option for you, just prepare a minimum SGD900.

Is the JB-KL train actually start from woodland? You might just buy a ticket for SG-JB segment Using sgd then take out your JB-SG ticket when you reach JB. Less transfer.

$800 a month is $26 a day, how on earth can you "fine dining" in Singapore on that budget, lol.

I just wanted to rant here after just a few months of working here. One thing I somewhat came to a conclusion to is that I will go back Malaysia after a few years.

I dunno about the rest of you, but the lifestyle here is so much of a pressure cooker. I feel stressed at everything. Going to work is stressful. Trying to find a place to eat at Raffles is stressful. Finding a seat is stressful.

I think I'm having issues coping with the generally high stress levels of Singapore.
