I would take that claim with a pinch of salt hmm.gif

Also if I'm not mistaken, that single bottle is good for up to 30 applications so if there's multiple cars at your house, the price per windscreen isn't so high. If you're looking for a single-use rain repellent, Rain Away is available in the Garage Sales section and it's pretty good nod.gif

rain isn't my concern since got rain-x, i want it to be rock chip resistant because my car's a rock magnet for some reason sad.gif

Stop tailgating! tongue.gif

I use to do that and have quite a number of rock chips on my hood and lots of tiny marks on my windscreen. After touching up the hood and polishing the windscreen I no longer drive so close to the car in front. Problem solved laugh.gif

Hi,
Need advice.
I just bought new car 1 month ago. last monday, i found a few cat scratches on the bonnet. So frustrating. My SA told me that I can send my car to detailing shop to do paint protection/anti scratch. He told me that it'll cost around RM500.
This morning, i asked my car service center and they quote it as RM1380 and RM1998- Wow so expensive.
I need suggestions:
-need recommendation for a good and reasonable detailing shop

Thanks in advance.

p/s:
please no DIY,

This.

Had many unfortunate incidents with driving behind concrete trucks, even with a reasonable distance - huge mess to deal with, even harder when dried. Solution? When you see a concrete truck, slow down, switch lane. If single lane, take alternative route laugh.gif

Got any other available Glass Coat other than the Optimum brand?

Something is wrong on my windscreen or the wiper, wanted to have a smooth surface so no need use wiper.

The 22ple can be applied on windscreen?

Yes. Later on just wash the residue off with normal shampoo.

If you mean FOR glass (and not made OF glass.... tongue.gif ), there's plenty, Rainaway, Aquapel, those Japs brands at Autobacs, GTechniq, etc. I've only tried Rainaway & Aquapel.....in the end (currently) I'm back using RainX.... sweat.gif

Maybe your windscreen just needed some decontamination and polishing....

Haven't tried 22ple on windscreen....

I think you should clean (and possibly polish) the windscreen first and see how i goes. If there's still a problem then check your wiper blade or change them. Btw your wipers are OEM or aftermarket?

It did feel smooth for a while, then when the screen gets dirty they start to judder a bit, clean again, smooth again, dirty then judder again, clean then smooth again....then after a few rainstorms and wiper usage, beading on those wiper area got weaker and those area where the wipers didn't reach got hard waterspots. Water run-offs also not as good as RainX (fresh)....expensive....so back to RainX.

If you have ONR, just mix some into a QD dilution and spray onto dried and cleaned windscreen, then wipe off. Works as a good cheap repellent too. I'm not sure about the durability though, I reapply it after every wash.
