nice.. but seems expensive. Have you bought from them before?
thanks for the advise. regarding no 2, if you leave it overnight, do you use a qd to wipeoff first before you apply the 2nd layer?
*
Yes, bought some items from them before. Normally I only go for their promotions item.

I do not use special liquid for MF cleaning, just liquid detergent only. So far my MF cloths are still ok.

Not much different from NXT except (maybe) a little bit less cleaner in it. No problem applying by hand. Haven't really used it with a machine (rotary)...only had used it with my bosch ROB. And yeah.....durability (beading) sucks.....
*
For hand polish, what would you recommend?

I realize, the cleaner your car is, the more noticeable the dust sticking to your car. laugh.gif

I've just opti-seal-ed and wax my car. Feel so clean and shinny now, of course minus the swirl. laugh.gif

wah bro.. i see you've shifted to Optimum liao.. what's the verdict? much better than what you were using previously?
*
I always use Optimum, you mistaken me as someone else ah?

Just that I start to understand more into car detailing, and realize there are more or better alternative out there.

Well cleaning car is fun and satisfactory, as long as the wife do not grumble. laugh.gif

oh.. i must have mistaken then, becoz i remember you saying that you didnt get water beading initially. I thought you were using Megs as well.. biggrin.gif

anyway, we're in the same boat la.. Home minister grumble that i sayang my metal mistress more than her.. biggrin.gif
*
Yup, I didn't get a very nice water beading effect. But water beading not really good lar, might have water spot issue too.

It was my method of cleaning that was the problem, also was rushing that time... Wifey grumble already.

Now practice more and more, and also consult other experience otai-otai, then getting hang of it already.

Actually you don't really need water beading, if you are doing regular cleaning. Just that if you have it on the mirror, then it will protect your wiper too.

I like krismas method on cleaning the windscreen, that really works.
I don't do that. I only wash->clay->IPA???->Turtle Rain protect, I mean on the windscreen only.

krismas open clinic I also want to join...

BTW, after I washed and 1 round of claying... I can see from reflection big patches of "dried glue" look a like layer on the front hood.
What is that? And why can't my clay remove it?
I have to use OPC and rub it harder with my MF.

Last last I used Hyper Compound with BigFoot to get ride of the "stain".

Dried up tree sap maybe...
Somebody need to lead this then....mav3rick?

Btw...it won't be the 'clinic' thingy la...more like a get-together and knowledge-sharing session. I'm no sifu and hardly a good 'teacher'.... sweat.gif
But I can invite a 'trainer' if you guys are interested...I might just know somebody that could be willing to 'help out'....
*
Yup, it looks like tree sap thingy... But whole panel wor ...

@mav3rick Please be the orgy-nizer.

That's odd. Any pics?

Using mobile, can't really see it. But this is a 5 years old light blue car...

Also ya, I noticed OHC and OHP is very hard to use. Since it is liquid, it will splatter everywhere if the pad is not on the panel. And the OHP is not that effective compare to Meg.

3 or 4 people is enough, krismas will have problem shouting loud to everyone. laugh.gif

BigFoot is a DA from http://www.rupes.com/. It is indeed a very nice tool to use.

Aiyo....sure it's not clear coat peeling off ah???? Hopefully not la.

Some times water etchings can also look something like what you described....something like the pic below, but imagine just the edges without the whitish inside (like when you stick a thin plastic onto something, you can see the edges but the rest are transparent).

Hard to explain in words, as my detailing terms are not that good.

Mine is more like the tree sap things, but patches and patches. But I do managed to remove it using OHC, and my pad from Rupes is torn like what you have shown previously. sad.gif Think it is due to dampness.

Buying equipment from oversea, the warranty is always a concern.

I would spend extra to have local warranty, unless you are very resourceful.
