QUOTE(mydragoon @ Mar 15 2013, 01:49 PM) you have something against that statement/ logic? having used 'plastic' phones, i am happy that countless drops, and i dun have a dent. and i like my phone dent free. so, you have a problem with phones made of plastic? then go somewhere else. this is S4 thread. fact is: s4 is made of 'plastic' as many puts it. you really are an idiot aren't you now? Go back and figure out what I meant. Hint: In no where in my statement was I going against anything made of plastics. Hint 2: I myself am using an S3, so why would I have a problem with plastics. You spastic child. YOU go somewhere else and learn how to read before you blabber out rubbish.

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Mar 15 2013, 02:54 PM) i guess the pixel density is only true if one wants to crop a certain part of the photo and then blow it up. and they are measured in ppi, not dpi which stands for dot (used in physical print). otherwise, if taking the whole photo without cropping and printing it somewhere... then higher pixel count is more important (like 4mp camera vs 42mp camera), right? crop or not.. its still the pixel count. I was educated by my creative department that high-res pictures does not always mean high pixel count.

Did you not run his statement down and was quite abrasive at that, which he is defending? Why the sudden surge of aggression? This I cannot fathom and hence spent half my life trying to comprehend.

Because the people that were uptight that I was laughing at were people being uptight and highly critical of a phone that's not been seen/touched by themselves yet. However, on the other hand this was a person who personally told me to 'go somewhere else' if i had a 'problem' with phones made out of plastic in which case, wasn't even what I said nor had a problem with. Hence, I told him to go back and reread what I have said and try to have the slightest clue of what I meant. Some things, I cannot fathom too.

I'm seeing a lot of misunderstanding here. My firm belief is that it is in large part caused by a poor grasp of the language (English) and our dear leaders are saying that our education system will take 5 years to even get to a stage of preparedness to allow 17yr olds to pass with basic proficiency. In the meantime, 17yr olds who fail (our already dismal level of) English are allowed to continue on and graduate. Then collectively we complain about high unemployment.
I had hoped that writing in a forum will have an impact on the level of proficiency but it seems many are stuck in the trenches of the several varieties of Mangled English.
There's the Chinese, Malay and Indian variety. We should all rise to the International standard variety, be it BrE or AmE.
My 2 sen/cents/pence.

I would also like to add that I'm seeing several proficient writers engaging in eloquent debates but seems a little tangential to the thread but a very entertaining read nonetheless

But , the Peel app that Samsung includes in their IR capable range of tablets are only able to control TVs. However Sony does it better with their own proprietary app which is capable to "learn" IR codes to control any IR devices.

If I have that, can I say, go to my neighbour's house and turn off their TV? lol. That would be interesting..

If you want my advice, when someone goes off tangent or if a post is so ridiculous, refrain from being brusque when you reply. Stay on the subject matter. 'Kill' them with relevant annotates and reasons.

No matter use what brand, the mono speakers that hide behind the phone just like nexus 4 is already a very big letdown for me. I am now looking for stereo front speakers with amplifier in the htc one.
