No matter use what brand, the mono speakers that hide behind the phone just like nexus 4 is already a very big letdown for me.

I am now looking for stereo front speakers with amplifier in the htc one.

Dedicated audio chip is important if you love listening to music. So..the Nexus4 is using soundchip also..? hmm.gif

crop or not.. its still the pixel count. I was educated by my creative department that high-res pictures does not always mean high pixel count.

i'm only a newbie and just asking based on my own limited understanding...

what i understand by "high resolution" is that it has got "high count of pixels".

i had read a bit from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_resolution

anyway, but i do agree that sometimes high MP camera (like 13MP) may not really yield good results as compared to 8MP. i guess lots of other factors... however, i'd think Samsung would not wanna screw up and give us something inferior.

and the protruding camera sensor. who does that in 2013? nexus 4 is flush with the body, same as the xperia z and even the HTC One's back is smooth.

I'm a newbie as well, but what I've read are that sensor size, lens quality and image processing algorithms affect the final output. And there's some kind of relationship between DPI, PPI and MP that I only understand a little. These matter very much if you have to produce prints. Otherwise it's not so important if you're posting on FB or sending over Whatsapp.

for me... i also hardly use headset. sometimes prefer just the speaker.

and i really do worry about those smart features on s4. at least what i understand, they can adjust the colour and also the audio...

i do worry coz take for example on Note2. if i use the stock video player at max volume, still not good enuff. but with mx player, there's an option to double up the max or sth like that. i do get louder sound coming from mx player. same file.

It's region dependent..nearly all Asia use 2600MHz.
If we get a LTE version then that 2600MHz will be included same like S3 LTE and Note2 LTE.
The only question is whether SME gonna bring in the LTE version here or not.?

ya... i think lots of other things come into play.

i'm currently happy with what i get on sgs3 and note 2. both are 8mp.

i do hope samsung can maintain their 'standard' with the s4's 13mp. <-- then again, its not like i'm going to get the s4... hahaha...

still, having used PadFone2 and the 13mp camera on that phone, i do get worried... coz i was kinda disappointed with the 13mp on the padfone2. i felt i got better results with note2's 8mp.

and ya, camera function is quite important for me.

i do hope Samsung will bring that dual capture feature to older devices -- s3 and note2. good too if can go to even s2 and note1. biggrin.gif

You are most welcome. I speak my mind, without fear or favour. It is good to be magnanimous. You will be the better for that.

Wait for the full teardown from iFixit or other teardown sites.

That said, I'm interested purely from a technology perspective. I'm not getting the S4 tongue.gif but the Note 3.

Smart features for me is useless and I foresee myself not using it at all.
And since it is software based, it can be easily ported into HTC One in my opinion.

i dun think so since by the time it comes in (probably end may or early june), lte still not really available nationwide.

i strongly doubt SME wanna keep too many SKU. look at the 16gb vs 32gb for note2. i think till now, officially only 16GB version. nothing else.

maybe s5 in 2014... we'll see LTE phones. biggrin.gif

i do like some of their smart features. but not all of them...

some i like... smart stay or something like that. the smart pause sounds good too. but i guess if watching video at night, then chances are, this won't work properly. but when it does, it can be really good.

another example is the smart rotate on Note 2. before... i had to disable rotation when i use my phone while lying down on the bed. but smart rotation... when it works... its really nice. biggrin.gif

Hmm, from what i see on the htc comparison shots seem higher megapixel camera give better detail when u zoom/crop which i think is important because no optical zoom on camera phones.

I don't care about the appearance anymore. When S3 was announced back then, I was disappointed it design, but I still bought it tongue.gif

Just give it a case and colored/designed screen protector, it will become prettier biggrin.gif

Now now, end of April is very long!
