It is hard to guess either s4 will be equipped with octa core or not. The reason they announced it at CES maybe because they want people to wait for the s4 announcement rather than going for other android OEM's flagship. They totally have guess that their competitor will show their own flagship before the anticipated s4. Everybody guesses.

Btw,I hope it will be like this

At least Snapdragon 600 or Exynos 5 Quad with 32-bit dual-channel 800 MHz LPDDR3 (15 GB/sec)
At least ARM Mali-T678
At least 3000mah removable battery
At least Android 4.2.1
Stereo speaker
Notification LED
Dedicated camera button
Splash proof

Shorter..!? rclxub.gif

Suppose to be shorter. In the video looks like shorter than s3. That means bezel margin decreases. I hate tall phone btw. Wider is nvm because it'll lead to bigger battery

different people have different ways of what criteria they want to put in choosing their device. the experience, feature and dev support is number one for me

Something is very weird here. hmm.gif

The official photo from Samsung doesn't show the earpiece speaker grill, but the so-call "leaked" photos from china forum does show the speaker grill.
I personally believe that the leaked photos are real, well, the unpacked event is so close already and the leaked photos does make sense, not like cheap china copy.

Btw, we got a new leaked video here.

at least the phone didn't lag when opening dialer/secphone like s3

the leaked provided by the chinese site has becoming more and more authentic and believable

hopefully it's only a prototype

at first i thought it would be some s3 plus model that samsung will release

one thing that is so fishy is the smart stay icon

why it keep showing in almost all of the picture?

No matter use what brand, the mono speakers that hide behind the phone just like nexus 4 is already a very big letdown for me.

I am now looking for stereo front speakers with amplifier in the htc one.

and the placement of the speaker is damn sad

getting through the s4 thread on xda and just found out CM dev have uniformly decide not to develop CM for s4

QUOTE
Nobody at team hacksung (the team behind galaxy s2, note, s3, note2, gtabs... official CM ports) plans to buy it, neither develop for it. There are two variants which will be a pain to maintain, the bugs we have on the s3 will probably be there on s4 too (camera), and we all know Samsung ability to release sources while staying in line with mainline. Yes qualcomm release sources, but exynos sources we had were far from actual galaxy products. I'm pretty sure the same will happen for this one.

That's a uniform "no" from us.

sos kicap

and looks like GokhanMoral who develop dual boot for s3 won't develop for it too

there goes dev community

p/s: I can't live without dual boot

seems like many renowned developer will not develop for S4.
Bad news for future S4 flashers.

hope samsung will make the exynos opensource.
*
hopefully Samsung will use the tactic of giving free devices (s4) to them. lol

icon_rolleyes.gif

they really should share those source code to us

there goes s4 sales for the custom community..down the drain...

But ppl who dont play with their phone too much or just love using stock will still get the phone..esp those rich aunties or teenage girls who just use it for fb,insta,twitter,whatsapp,etc...

that one no need to mention la. obvious fact

with great money come great bragging rights and ignorance

not only CM10 but maybe hard to make other AOSP ROM also.

TW based roms maybe not be a problem, but once a new android version comes out. we have to wait Samsung to release official ROM then only can ccok custom ROM.

While AOSP based will have an upperhand on the latest android version.

yup yup

no CM, so most probably no AOSP/AOKP
