sure can repair...but like i said...the lens barely 6-7 months in malaysia...means any other used one u find will have warranty remaining still.
so why pay for any repair when can claim warranty?

Just warranty card no receipt can be sent for repair I think. Since I sent my camera for cleaning, I always send with warranty card only.

No record in Nikon Centre not sure if its Grey lens wo, it just proves its not been sent for service/repair before. And since Nikon covers international warranty for its lenses, so

My friend has issue with Nikon Malaysia when he claimed for warranty, apparently Nikon Msia don't honor the international warranty and need to 'purchase' Msia warranty. But that was 2 years ago LOL, not sure if anyone tried to claim warranty recently?

In order to check aperture blades, at the lens mounting there, you will find a small piece of plastic appearing from a hole beside the metal connector pins....just move it and check. it is a switch where you need it to wide open your aperture hole and check for fungus.
