I using d3100 now but want to have more focus point and faster auto focus (since I like to shot on random people and sport etc)
Should I get a second hand d7000 or just wait for new d7100 come out?
When d7100 come out will d7000 price drop?

This is will be my first camera upgrade, and plan to get a prime lense for portrait shot after that

Random shot with d3100 70-300mm

normally i do like this, for no shadow portraiture, need 3 stands lol
i used 2 big softbox for both left and right,
then the middle 1, i used reflector (kinda like umbrella), 45 degree up facing behind
i stand infront of the middle flashgun
power wise, both left and right use same power while the middle one uses less power, but also depends of the effect u wan la laugh.gif
this is what i normally do la.. haha

Was at a raptor wildlife center at Perth last year, was shooting with 85mm f/1.4G... hit and miss on focusing ._. LOL!!! You know how slow that lens is... the glass too big tongue.gif and also small SWM motor.
Haha... for panning its more of practice than equipment. Bigger lens are much heavier and not so easy to handle.
Probably cropped, I can't recall. Was shooting with D700 and even 400mm is insufficient reach when you're at Sepang for most of the turns.

This one not cropped I think tongue.gif
Exposure, going any lower means I need to up my shutter speed which means less panning effect.

Not bad, but I would like it better with rim light on the right side. His hat is sort of sinking into the background.

D7000 is better than D90 for sure on paper. but if you're good, u can still take good pics from D90  tongue.gif last year D7000 with kitlens is around 3.5k. now with new model around i think the price have drop already. D5200 is entry level, D7000 Is another level up. go to some nikon center and test it yourself. lol.
*
imma still with D90 doh.gif

want to ask what's the difference between tokina 116 pro dx and 116 pro dx II?

i checked the website it say dx II some with silent wave motor while dx doesn't, so does 116 dx have built in motor? hmm.gif
*
1st version is w/o build in motor, 2nd version is with motor
the rest are pretty same

I've seen teetaatee sifu's photos taken with the D90, wouldn't know its a D90 if didn't check  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
Still, if budget permits, its more worth it to get the D7000 right?  hmm.gif

D7k is a great machine biggrin.gif
