Morning guys, I have done my 10k service last Saturday and apparently the service centre manager told me that the following items are required by Proton HQ to all service centre to be carried out on the preve (not sure which batch but my batch was 8000+)
- power regulator/motor for all four windows;
- re-wiring of the air bag system for driver seat
I have done all four and hell crap that the technician screwed up my power window on the driver seat...first the driver window couldn't wind up/down...then send back to fix...driver window ok but front left passenger side window is not responding...
Have to go in again yesterday morning...towards the end of yesterday, everything gao tim...but the auto-up on driver side window is not responding! OMG!
been quite frustrated that they changed the power windows for no reasons!! that's why one of the senior mechanic said never ever messed with the power window wiring otherwise got screwed! now have to wait till friday to send in again to change the power window switch (which i suspect it is faulty caused by the mechanic...)
Don't get me wrong it's the usual proton power window problem but it's how the mechanic handles the situation...
Anyway, have any1 been asked to change the power window and the re-wiring the air bag system at driver seat?
it is FOC anyway,..but causing hell lots of time!
Where did you service your car? If your chassis number is part of the affected batch, they will do it. After the change, my drive window have some sound but not serious because still can go up and down. Anyway, i feel that if it is not broken, do not replace it. Waste time to go SC to change.
