QUOTE(Darkcloudz @ Jan 19 2013, 06:18 PM) QUOTE(InItToDriveIt @ Jan 21 2013, 12:10 PM) Hi kenlui, thanks for your response! I'm getting the 2012 manufacture - where do I check the chassis no.? I read earlier the 16xxx chassis needs to reflash? Am I right? here's your answer Is it possible to know what month the Preve was manufactured in? If yes, how? Also, if it does need to reflash, any SC that does it in kota damansara area? If not, what's the nearest/best place to do it? Im browsing the service centre's on proton's website... hope I wont need to call every one and ask if they provide reflash... hahah Feel really excited now! Thanks again! QUOTE(earthdome @ Jan 24 2013, 07:24 PM) just got my car today. CN 16xxx. ECU has been remapped. the most annoying part is the gluk gluk gluk sound during braking. doesnt feel safe at all. lol. has it been resolved yet for those who has this problem? QUOTE(pitalee2001 @ Jan 24 2013, 07:28 PM) yes me too, gluk gluk gluk sound during braking or this is new design from Proton? seems like preve with chasis no. under 20k tend to face the same problem. can we specifically ask our agent to give us preve with 20xxx chasis no and above?i just take it as new design develop from genius Proton team. gluk gluk sound, du du sound, bu bu sound, bi bi sound. If something bad happen for us, so we just sue proton till drop underwear loh. |

QUOTE(Pace @ Feb 1 2013, 01:00 PM) Manual Preve is non CFE unit right? Same as that used in Waja and Persona since long. The only difference now is that your GB is now a Getrag unit instead of Mitsubishi. The TCU activity is based on input from the ECU. These two buddies talk if they are in the same house (car). That's is why auto to manual conversion is very straigtforward, potong wire only, as compared to manual auto conversion for TCU controlled auto GB. waaa ur language so deep cant understand Were there issues with the Waja/Persona Campro (Non CPS) with new (hardware not firmware) ECU? Your ECU settings should be the same as those cars. Doublecheck with Persona owners using the new ECU....... unless you are now running high lift cams, high compression race ported head like the R3 race car. Then you may need to something else. Turbo and NA ECU settings differ. Possibly the low end ignition timing for the CFE has been raised in accordance with the TPS. TCU CVT update seems to be for the engine braking which although I have yet to experience on the Preve (still waiting for my car), I value in the Exora CFE and Waja Mitsu Invecs GB when entering a sweeper. It does not engage with Neutral throttle. I used to drop from D to 3 for the Waja for even more engine braking akin to downshifting on a manual GB. A possibility with Protronic. Does the TCU CVT firmware update shift up now instead of shifting down when the throttle is closed? just came back from SC for the helicopter sound, the mechanic told me my disc brake dirty, he helped me clean and then assured me no more sound...but later when i try 80kmph still got sound |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Feb 1 2013, 08:07 PM) helicopter sound is owes becos of lousy finishing on the disc brake, uneven disc brake most probably.. maybe u drive and wear out the uneven part maybe the sound will gone but u wan compromise ur safety to this shit? Last time my dad go SC kecoh then they die die fix the disc brake temporary for me, i think they grind the uneven part.. but now the helicopter sound still persist if i brake at more than 100km/h... i dunno is ABS or not.. cos ABS i tried before is like u can really feel it at the brake pedal there one.. dunno the abs got so intelligent or not.. i see thx for sharing your experience...i think i'll wait until next service only ask them to change =.= |

QUOTE(DelanieK @ Feb 2 2013, 06:02 PM) I have driven my white cfe for 2 days, very happy with it except the sound fr disc brake when brake at 60kmh and above, will tell the sc when call for 1k appt. anybody knows which grade of ecotint is in the cfe? I found the heat rejection is quite poor, should I apply the 2nd layer or just re-do the whole with other brand? wow so many cases with the disc brake. |

QUOTE(huiqing88 @ Feb 5 2013, 08:29 PM) My aircond wasn't blowing at the window... The demister I used is the one in the red circle... If im not mistaken the rear wind screen demister is the one at right hand side of HU screen isn't it? i used to have this problem too, until i realize my driver side aircond was blowing at the window..adjust it and the problem never appear again.[attachmentid=3297820] And no, when I drove other cars they do not have this problem, at least not until I totally lost vision from side mirrors |
