Hello rakan rakan preve sekalian.

Anyways guys, wanna ask if any of you have this sort of plastic rattling sound from the back when you drive over a bump. It's a very fast kind of rattle, so im guessing its from a plastic piece. But i dont know where and the sound is driving me mad!

I check the speaker mounting board hitting the back windscreen, tarak, loose speaker/speaker cover, tarak. tak tahu what else to check la weh...
*
Yea, same thing happen to me but can't solve it until today. Tried a lot of ways and failed. It is not from the thin bars either. Have u tried opening the speaker board ? I tried but dunno how.

guys. do you have tucking sound issues at rear seat or car boot? my preve sounds like there are plastic which is not fixed properly. i have send it to proton center. they did tightened the suspension and car exhaust but the sound still there.

i also tried to check the seat, unfold it and everything is fine. this is really annoying. it sounds like 10 years old car. anyone can help?
*
I have gone through numerous trouble fixing that sound but failed. No it still sound even the speaker board removed. Finally I think it is the chasis and welding defects. A soundproof shop help me open everything also can't find the exact source.but they stick all those thing on my rear boot chassis and manage to dampen the irritating noise.

Intercooler should be on the left. Normal, air intake to cool down the intercooler. Intercooler acts as heat dissipater
*
I dun mean the intercooler cover, I know both the cover is different as air intake on the other side.I meant the foglamp rubber seal.

hi guys. i remove my plastic deck cover in order to check where does the "tak tak tak" or tucking sound from rear boot come from.

user posted image credit to ahaidir777
After removing it, i drove it to see whether the sound gone or not. Surprisingly, the sound still there and i conclude the sound come from the metal part near the boot area (probably somewhere around the speaker) and bcoz this time no plastic deck, the sound is far more obvious.

it sound like metal parts are clashing each other. you know its metal if you hear it. it must have something to do with chasis or improper welding.

Then i cannot do anything but bear with the annoying sound, if plastic then i can put some foam or cloth.  very dissappoint how this can happen only after 14K km.

Anyone from proton can rectify this? looks like only cose can rectify this. normal sc wouldn't solve this i guess.
*
Ya, I have the same problem like u.is it from the rear left ? I confirm it is the welding points and its the chasis sound. Its a manufacturing defect. I paste some soundproofing material on all over the chasis boot and managed to dampen the sound abit. Unless you wanna try to do welding outside.

Thanks. Yes its coming from rear left. I want proton to settle this. Im not going to pay any cents bcoZ its not my problem smile.gif

I am sure tat tis is chasis Sound.

Proton should have a recall on this....

You can try to ask then to fix it.I just dun have the time to go pursuade them. Do keep me updated if you manage them to fix it for you.

When I switch from (headlights) from OFF to position led lights the main low beam will flicker to on briefly. I think it is the control/contact/wiring problem. Does anyone have the same problem?

I think this may have caused alot of burned out headlights of this car.

my wife 3 days old. prevee making wierd sound when been drive, sound like an old car the skund coming from back seat, the seat seem to be firmly attached nothing is loose maybe absorbers?

3 possibilities

1) Welding at the rear not well done, send SC to apply silicone on the welding joints

2) Third brake light housing loose, take it out and put back again

3) Rear seat housing has no cushion...put some sponge to reduce the vibration

I went outside to do the soundproof and dampened the sound. Will sc put silicone on welding joints? Anyone went to do it before? If yes pls share which sc willing to do it as I think quite a few had this sound issue.

hi guys. want to update. i solved my tucking sound problem that comes from rear side of the car. cool2.gif  rclxm9.gif  thumbup.gif

i did tried to put cloth between metal bars in the boot, check the rear brake light whether its tight or not; and dismantle the whole rear deck board to check where the sound comes from. I concluded that it is due to defective welding points.

But after i sent it to proton edar Melaka, they found out that the sound comes from touching parts between car body and rear suspension. They have rectified it.  rclxm9.gif

Now im happy the problem solved. It feels like driving a new car again without those annoying sound!  rclxms.gif

Thanks Proton edar Melaka service team. u have done a good job!  icon_rolleyes.gif

Hope someone can put this at 1st page under common
problems. Other preve user might have same problem as me.  notworthy.gif

Good for you, I had to do soundproof outside shop. What did they do to the welding joints ?

Got a picture of the exact location of the defective joints ?

its not because of welding joints. it is because there is touching part with suspension and car body. the moment they touch, tucking sound is produced. please check it out if you have not do so.

So is the rear left suspension spring and car body ? Need to explain to sc only they will know how to do.hajj..thanks for Ur info.. they just tighten it or how ?

Hey guys, I'm wondering how to adjust the height of the front low beam.
Thanks

Open the hood and find few screw holes above Ur headlights.
Got right left for one screw and up and down another screw. The last left one above high beam only for up down.
