Hi guys,

I was told there were two batches of Serena SH From Japan.
The first batch is 500 units and the second batch is 2000 units.
Would anyone believe that all 2,500 units had been taken up? and TC now thinking of whether to order more or local assemble?

Dunno how true  hmm.gif

That is why people who wants order now should either wait for people to cancel or wait for following order from Japan.
*
Sure there is a lot of people cancelling the sales order. Like me.

Bro, i think you should lodge an official complaint to Nissan HQ. Which Sales Office is this? When are you getting the new car?
*
They are getting me a new car, by exchanging it with another customer that is yet able to pick up his.
How? Should I accept?

Hi Frustrated customer,

Don't let bad service prevent you from getting a car which fits you the most, given the price.

I am also a bit frustrated with the customer service but weighing the Pros and Cons, this is still the only car which fits most of my criteria given the limited MPV choices in the market. Unless you have other options.

just my 2 cents.

Cheers

Thanks for the advices. If the most important - sales and customer services for a biz also they can't handle it well. I am reluctant to believe the quality of the rest such as car services.
My story of the Serena hybrid ends here. I cancel the sales order. Thanks to all for providing me the advices.

Anyone who is buying Serena , wish u all the best and will not share my experience.

Now, I definitely agree with your point of view. They definitely did not expect that I will do detail pricing comparison.
Today, I have received call from Nissan HQ for the follow up. i had made my declaration  that they are either cancel my sales, or transfer my sales order to other branch (which I think impossible, so I guess I will get my sales order cancel)

At the same time, this branch sales person call me up, she offered me an exchange for a brand new car with hers another customer, who is not able to pick up the car yet.  Hmmm...., well. I did not ask what will happen to this existing Serena ......from the way how the management behave, they will clean the car and sell to others as new one..MY GUESS ONLY.

When talking to her, she told me that putting customer's car as showroom view is normal practice in her branch. So, that car is really a new car, but the branch wanna save money on purchasing a showroom car whereby the cost is bear by themselves. (She told me each branch had to purchase their own showroom car, or share it with other branches)

I will reveal the branch location once the Nissan HQ return to me with decision . Stay tune... I m practicing my patient over Nissan, and not sure when it will burst.

In any industries, there is always bad apples as what JazzSerena mentioned.
Just bring out your grievances to the right person and i believe it can be solve, very rarely it will be ignore if you think what you were doing is right.

Barrywcb, its true, I have bought more than 5 cars in the past and almost all has some issue. None is perfect. Its not perfect because everyone has their interest. So because a sales person is screwed up, u will blame the whole org and continue to suffer.
Even Mercedes or BMW also give problems to their customers...

I did cancelled my order too for this Serena hybrid just before the hari raya, but it due to the low trade in value and the similar loan rate problem as Frustrated Customers mentioned.

Initially I also plan to trade in my car to get the new Serena. As I mention early this time they really offer the trade in car in very low rate. The SA even not interest to trade in my car and ask me sell it on my self.

And I not sure other branch SA same or not. The branch I visit seem he is not understand the car much. Before I go I did study most of the feature from internet and when I go and wish to double confirm from the SA but he even dunno what I am asking about. Maybe they are too busy without understand their new model before introduce to customer.

I visit the branch 2 days after new Serena launch and the SA saying if he found other use car dealer can trade in my car higher he will call me back. So far no return call from them.

The time really hot and wish to get the car immediate if everything ok but after about 1 months the desire to buy already drop and I am happy with my old ride now..

If you guy looking for higher trade-in for your current ride, try to find Toyota, I heard Toyota is accepting higher trade-in value for used car if you want to get the current Innova, because the Innova is due to change a new model later this year

Sonyman,

Never tested Estima as a driver but ride wise, pretty much the same as passenger as far as i am concern.
As for looks, Estima surely looks more sporty compare to Serena.

You are right to mention as far as price is concern, with RM150k, its very difficult to get a decent 2.0l MPV.
Not many choices and if i get it correctly, only Toyota Innova is in the same list, otherwise, it will all go down to recon which may be 4-6 years old. I am not very convince that all these recon car are in good condition esp when reading the forum. blush.gif

So far, i am enjoying the ride, the kids love it too. Its better than my previous Trajet which is a guzzler tongue.gif

Barrywcb,
Can you share about the fuel consumption so far especially town riding? Howe much do you spend for full tank?

Hi Frank,

Fuel consumption looks good so far based on my JB trip.
So far, i have pumped another few times but never really reset and calculate it.. blush.gif
I want to leave it for at least another couple 2-3k km as advise from my fren to be more accurate.
New engine need some km's to have a "run in". ( i still dont get the terms vmad.gif )

As for Remote down, can i assume you are asking that while driving, can i open my sliding door? I never try that but i did remember asking the SA and he mentioned that it cant be done while engine is running. ( come to think of it, i should try later LOLz)

You order and waiting for your new ride Frank?
