Hi @ASUSmy, is that possible to send the modem router to your service centre through postage for warranty?

Hi optimisez,

Maybe you can visit the following channel to understand more on the setup.

Hi SonnyCooL,

Maybe you can try fix a channel for the 5GHz and is there any blockage between your device and the router?

5GHz will have weaker signal compare to 2.4GHz.

thats normal for any 5ghz router.

they dont travel far as 2.4ghz but much faster than 2.4ghz

i solved my wireless problem by adding additional AP

Hi FameMoon,

Beside ASUS website, will this happen on other websites?

Do try set the DNS server on the ASUS router to Google DNS to have a try.

Thank you

Hi Asus,

May I know which router will you recommend between AC88U and AC86U ? From the website it seems that AC86U has a better processor. But im quite attracted to the 8 LAN port from AC88U. My house is a 2500sqft double storey house.

Looking forward to you recommendation biggrin.gif

If you intended to get 8 LAN ports maybe you can consider BRT-AC828, the nearest processor with RT-AC86U.

RT-AC86U chipset is 1.8 GHz, 2 cores
BRT-AC828 chipset is 1.7 GHz, 2 cores

OR

GT-AC5300 --> 1.8 GHz, 4 cores brows.gif brows.gif brows.gif

The performance for the BRT-AC828 is amazing and I actually tested it in a SME office environment.

Hi I need some help,

I'm using Streamyx 4mpbs and currently setting up the ASUS AC66U B1 router. I set the Innacomm modem to bridge and then try to use PPPoE to login the streamyx via the router; but the login always fail.

I could only login the streamyx via modem and obtain IP address automatically (router) in order to make it work.

Is there any settings I need to use for streamyx login via router (ASUS AC66U B1) ?

@ASUSmy

Good day ASUSmy.
I am using ASUS router RT-AC66U with Unifi 50mbps.

If I upgraded my Unifi to 100mbps, can this router support 100mbps?

Hi ASUSmy Why I failed to connect to streamyx? I already follow this video to set up everything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMbYfvCnoAw

Update: It seems like it's not natively supported as quick setup does not have Streamyx connection selection.
Update 2: For now I have to set Streamyx Innacomm modem router to bridge with VCI: 35 then set Asus DSL-AC52U to WAN with PPoPE connection. Then use LAN cable to connect Innacomm modem LAN port to Asus DSL-AC52U WAN port.

I hope I can get new firmware update soon that can have directly native streamyx connection without going through Streamyx Innacomm modem router. Thanks.

Hi joscmh90,

Can you provide the system log to have a look? Make sure the router is in PPPoE before you download the log file.

Thank you

Thanks, I'm able to connect my router via PPPoE already.

The only problem I'm having right now is that my WAN IP is always private....would love to have a public IP; Already bridged my modem but to no avail.

Hi joscmh90,

The WAN IP is provided by the ISP, if you wish to have Public IP address, you will need to contact the ISP.

Thank you

Hi optimisez,

Can you help provide me the setting file too? Because from the log, the Transfer mode is VDSL, for Streamyx it should be ADSL.

Thank you
