QUOTE(tomastan4134 @ Apr 26 2014, 11:10 PM) hey guys.. Hi tomastan4134,i have the n66u router setup at home.. its connected to 4mbps streamyx.. ive connected usb hdd to the router. and also NAS hdd to the router i have xunlei vip membership access where it has the offline download function. i was wondering how do i configure the router to accept xunlei offline download to my NAS or usb hdd attached to the router? If you are using the Download Master from our router, we don't have the option to allow you to sign in the Xunlei VIP membership access. It only accept HTTP, FTP, Magnet, ed2k, Torrent, or NZB URL. Thank you |

hi....
i have updated firmware for my N16 to latest (Version 3.0.0.4.374.5517) available on the asus website. this router is connected to a dlink modem (bridge mode) via WAN port and been setup to PPPoE for tmnet streamyx. my package is 4mbps and i can get speed around dw 3.5mbps and up 380kbps. 1) issue with QoS - when i enable this QoS (Automatic mode) --> my download speedtest is drop to less than 500kpbs... but upload is normal (about 380kbps). - after enable..... and turn it OFF.... the result are unchanged. i have to reboot the router to get back dw speed 3.5mbps 2) guess wifi - can the guest device to be issue different IP address lane by dhcp? eg: private is 192.168.1.x and guest is 192.168.2.x i dont want guest device to be able to use my private network resources.... 3) do you have any document details to use OPENVPN on ASUS router? thanks |

But may I know have you tried to do a factory reset before? 2) guess wifi Nope, it cannot have different IP, and in guest network you can off the Access Intranet so that guest user unable to view your drive. 3) do you have any document details to use OPENVPN on ASUS router? Currently don't have yet, will let you know once I have the step. Thank you |

Hi Asus n friends,
need your advice Recently bought Rt-n56u, there are some issues: 1- noticed quickly that the router can get quite hot, almost like Tm 615 router. Is it a bug? Or is it normal? Hot = not comfortable to put my hand 2- i have few phones connected either 2ghz/5ghz and speed test is great on both frequencies! But on my personal laptop, which using broadcom N built in adapter, when connect to 2ghz(not dual band), speedtest is max 2mbps, instead of 5 mbps of my package. but phone is doing ok on 2ghz. Even my ipad also working normal. I know 56u is ralink, but all laptop should be compatible to use 2.4ghz freq right? or i am missing something? thank you |
