I believe you can use Wireless MAC Filter to accept only devices listed in your list and reject all others.

I just bought WD My Passport 1TB drive and connect to the USB port of my ASUS RT-N66U (firmware version 3.0.0.4.380_7378). I formatted the drive as NTFS as I want to download files larger than 4GB limit. The problem is It always show "Unmounted" status no matter I switch to another USB port. May I know how to solve this problem?

Hi skyfusion,

Can you try do a factory reset on the router and see whether the router able to detect the USB storage or not.

Is other USB device detectable?

Thank you

Hi ASUSMy,

I have yet to try resetting the router. But my old HDD can use any USB port without any problem. Only my new HDD got this Unmounted issue. Below is the message fro System Log "Apr 10 08:03:47 kernel: scsi 0:0:0:0: rejecting I/O to dead device"

Thank you

I am changing to Time Fibre 100mbps soon. May I know if Asus Rt-N66U is supported or do I need to get another router that can support the speed? Currently using the router with Unifi 30mbps and it is very good in performance. Thanks

Hi my house is 2 storey about 2500square feet. My Unifi is 500Mbps. I plan to get Tuf-ax4200 as main router at Ground floor. I want to set Mesh, which model should i get to put on my house 2nd floor? Thanks

i am interested to read comments too.

but, do u hv a need to mesh... some devices not working well with single router?

i just started using same tuf-ax4200, been good... using 800mbps.

i get sufficient coverage in my house like yours.. ok, furthest at 60ft.

i also found out older devices won't work as well as the newer ones even if they both run on 5ghz.

also, performance varies with diff apps, e.g. Netflix outperforms others, always smooth.

I am currently using the Tplink AX73 router, placed on the ground floor (G floor). I have no issues receiving a 5Ghz signal in all areas on the ground floor. However, when I bring my laptop to my bedroom on the first floor, I can only connect to the 2.4Ghz network; the 5Ghz signal is unstable on the first floor. To set up the AX73 on a mesh network, my only option is via a Tplink wireless extender, as there is no option for a wired backhaul. I prefer a cable connection for better performance.

I have noticed that many forum members recommend the Tuf-ax4200, which is also within my budget. I believe that I need to establish a Mesh network to ensure 5Ghz coverage for my entire house. However, I am unsure which model to pair with the Tuf-Ax4200.

Based on my scenario, do you have a better option you can suggest? Thank you.

I just bought TUF 4200 to replace TPlink AX73 after reading good review here. When i do speedtest from my phone to AX73, i can get around 430-470mbps. But now i do the same using TUF4200, i can only get 70-90Mbps only. My phone connect to 5Ghz not 2.4Ghz. Is there any setting I need to do?
