i am interested to read comments too.
but, do u hv a need to mesh... some devices not working well with single router?
i just started using same tuf-ax4200, been good... using 800mbps.
i get sufficient coverage in my house like yours.. ok, furthest at 60ft.
i also found out older devices won't work as well as the newer ones even if they both run on 5ghz.
also, performance varies with diff apps, e.g. Netflix outperforms others, always smooth.
I am currently using the Tplink AX73 router, placed on the ground floor (G floor). I have no issues receiving a 5Ghz signal in all areas on the ground floor. However, when I bring my laptop to my bedroom on the first floor, I can only connect to the 2.4Ghz network; the 5Ghz signal is unstable on the first floor. To set up the AX73 on a mesh network, my only option is via a Tplink wireless extender, as there is no option for a wired backhaul. I prefer a cable connection for better performance.
I have noticed that many forum members recommend the Tuf-ax4200, which is also within my budget. I believe that I need to establish a Mesh network to ensure 5Ghz coverage for my entire house. However, I am unsure which model to pair with the Tuf-Ax4200.
Based on my scenario, do you have a better option you can suggest? Thank you.
