Avoid ASUSmy products for now
Their cockiness have gone through their head, they are not willing to admit that the RT-AX56U is problematic and refuses to pull it out of the market

Thank god I've made the switch to AmpliFi. No more ASUS for me
I used to be a strong supporter for ASUS routers, but no more after their ignored my plea

RT-AX56U is still being sold widely doh.gif

i found your statement is abit childish.

you dont condemn entire brand just because they screw up in 1 model.

If asus decide to ignore user plea....is their fault for not rectifying. which in turn you leave the brand. But calling others to boycott the brand just because of they ignore your plea.

it sounds so damn wrong.

Just take a look at a few of the previous pages then you'll see tons of complaints about AX56U
There are also several other complaint topics about AX56U in this forum

Hmmm, I am the user of AX56U and so far I faced internet light becomes red once a while. Updated latest firmware and use new ugreen ca6-6 cable also the same.

LOL. I've been using tons of ASUS routers, been their real supports for so long
From RT-N16 to RT-AC68U to RT-AC88U to RT-AC86U and lastly GT-AC5300
And I bought my father the RT-AX56U. My brother the RT-AC68U

I requested them to upgrade the RT-AC68U hardware while maintaining the same pricing because they did it in other countries, but not in Malaysia. Ignored
I requested them to admit the issues with RT-AX56U & pull back the model from sales until they fix it, ignored. leaving hundreds maybe thousand out there whose not in this forum not being aware of the issue

So how is calling for a boycott childish when the manufacturer ignores everything their loyal customer requests?
Am I asking for something impossible? No. Pulling back the RT-AX56U from sales is not impossible

Am I forcing you to do the same thing as me? No, I'm just trying to make sure that everyone aware that ASUS doesn't care about their RT-AX56U users and just plod along leaving other buyers living with a problematic router

What issue do you face on the RT-AX56U product for that amount of frustration?

I recently purchased the RT-AC68U for a friend at full price in LYP and it comes worth the 1Ghz CPU reported on Merlin. I believe this is already the most updated RT-AC68U available.

Does RT-AX3000 support smart connect (dual band in single ssid)?
I google about it, from Asus Malaysia support websiteAsus website said on RT-AX58u support, but not RT-AX3000
but if not mistaken RT-AX58U = RT-AX3000 right?

Yes, all Wi-Fi 6 models support smart connect.

In fact, all models from RT-AC86U and above support smart connect.

Thanks, one last question
From your opinion, is there any different between RT-AX3000 and TUF-AX3000 except gaming port, better port forwarding and gaming mode?
Don't know should I spend for another RM100 to get TUF-AX3000 or not hmm.gif

There was a question on this back then, wouldn't hurt if you scroll back the pages a bit.

In summary, TUF have that EXTRA which helps on gaming like VPN and etc. Hardware wise both have similar specs.

The internet light will become red suddenly, and need to wait few minutes to restore back the connection. And i checked its log file and found out it had been like kinds of "reset" which log has been cleared off. btw, I had upgraded to latest firmware and changed another cat6 cable but also the same. But this issue won't happen always, once a few days. As the result, I just ignored it.

Hi, I'm using RT-AX56U as well and had the same issue when I first bought this router. After I disable (No) the following "Special requirement from ISP" under WAN settings and the issue seems to be gone. I do off my router at night and switch back on in the morning and the connection to UNIFI comes up at ease.

Pics or it didn't happen
Also, ASUS Malaysia themselves publicly admit that they are not going to upgrade the RT-AC68U at all. Just leave Malaysian users with the crappy 800MHz units to clear their stock

That's not how it's supposed to be
ASUSmy is not admitting the RT-AX56U is a problematic router and refuses to do a product recall nor do they get the RT-AX56U of the shelves but instead just leave the buyers in the dark about the problematic router and just keep selling it

Unnecessary. Here's why:
1. Router consumes very little power. Turning it on all the time and turning it off every night won't make a dent at all on your TNB bill
2. An expensive ASUS router should be able to run stable 24/7/365 without any need to restart/shutdown at all unless there's a firmware update. My longest record was with GT-AC5300 running 7 months without any restart
3. If you just want to block your kids from using the internet at certain times, you should just use the Parental Controls settings where you can schedule when your kids can access the internet

No. The issue with my father's AX56U is about not being able to get an IP address when you are trying to connect to 5GHz. And I'm not the only one having this issue. Tons of complaints all over the internet

Never had this issue with RT-N16, AC68U, AC88U, AC86U & GT-AC5300

My anger with ASUS is that they refused to admit that the AX56U is a problematic model and their refusal to pull it back from sales seeing just how many complaints about it in this forum itself
Itu belum campur those people who doesn't know about our forum, perhaps there are hundreds or maybe thousands out there that had issues with their AX56U as well but don't know where to complain publicly

Hi sHawTY,

If you have updated the latest firmware or factory reset before, do send a feedback using the router GUI so that we can check what is the problem. PM me your email address once done.
