No, only posting date is relevance for 5% cash back.
Seem we don't have much control over this. But, usually, large merchant posted in the same day as transaction.

When we a regular at one merchant, we can already predict their posting day.
For example, a Petronas near my home will post a day after the transaction. To be able to get the rebate, I pump my car either on Friday or Saturday.

from my experience, its all Transaction Date and not Posting Date  hmm.gif

ya, based on my understanding as well, the cash back for 5% should be base on transaction date on weekends, but not posting date hmm.gif

The relevance of posting date is clearly stated with examples on Post #2.

To pump petrol on Friday, you WILL NEVER get Maybankard 2 AMEX Weekend Rebate lah .... do not misled other newbies with your "incorrect" info.

notworthy.gif sorry everyone, its my mistake.
I go read post at the first page and try to reunderstand again,

btw, i get that understanding from the discussion here too, tongue.gif
seem I'm the one who get a bit wrong understanding.

btw, here are several quote from the first page make me believe on what I mention before;

QUOTE
13. The 5% cash back on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) for MBB 2 AMEX includes Petrol and is additional to the 5X Treats Points. However it is reported that some online transactions on weekends DO NOT earn the 5% cash back as it depends on the timing the merchant processes the transaction.

QUOTE
The 5% Cash Back payout is subjected to POSTING DATE not transaction date. Here's a detail example by ronnie

All info on the quote is correct, just I really need to read it slowly to really understand it espesically on the red color highlight.

Sorry again.

Happy just got my MBB2 yesterday from 1U centre thumbup.gif

Btw wanna ask something.. the weekend 5% cashback, is it on ANYTHING?

I planning to purchase a RM2k laptop with it, will i be rebated with the RM50 cap straightaway for this month? And will the shops charge me for the bank interests and is this legal for them?

Also i just research for my Maxis bill.. looks like i can't pay Maxis bill via M2U to use my AMEX nor i can use the Maxis Easy Pay since they don't accept AMEX there.. so my only choices are to go Maxis Centres or make a call to 123 to use my AMEX on weekends? sad.gif

Advices and feedback are greatly appreciated guys smile.gif

You can report to the bank if you can provide evidence that they transfer the interest to you.

Anyway, it is up to you. Some might just relent as they are okay to have the 5% and 5TP to cover the extra charge.

That's why most shops are able to get away with it as the receipt will just show the final amount. Also maybe because consumers are not aware of their rights.

For me, if the price is truly amazing, then I will relent too blush.gif but most of the time, I will keep insisting or just walk away.

Just went to 1u card center to be requested for replacement new credit card (AMEX) due to current of my card has some scratch. A new card will be release within 3-5 working days.

Besides, has been advice by staff, 1u card center will be process for renovation start from next week (around 23 or 24/5) until July, quite a long time to be renovation, so anything issues about your card, kindly go to fix it early time.

Otherwise, it will take for almost 2 months to be reno.

Can't make up my mind if I should redeem 10k TP or pay RM 50 for GST.
Once my card was approved, Maybank waived for me for free, due to invitation, I think a one-time off promotion.

Then last year I redeemed 10k TP for my GST.

Ever since I got my OCBC Ti, I seldom use my Maybank because my transactions occur on weekdays mostly. So, now my points only 30k TP. laugh.gif

Feel sayang. tongue.gif

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Mar 1 2013, 10:00 AM)
actually it's almost the same..

considering u use 10000TP to redeem rm50 gst

if u use 9300TP to redeem rm50 parkson voucher, which itself accept amex, u lose 7.5% (5x TP and 5% weekends) of the rm50 = rm3.75 = 750 TP
so in total its 10,050 TP

trollol  laugh.gif

i always redeem GST  wink.gif

Anyone got a rules on where they shouldn't use AMEX.

Here is my case and my calculation. Hopefully, someone can verify it.

I bought a hard disk priced at RM 270, and by using amex, they charge me additional RM4.

RM 270 = 270TP x 5 = 1350TP

10,000TP/RM 50 = 200 = RM1 (based on cc yearly gov. tax)

1350TP/ 200 = RM 6.75

So, here I still profit RM 2.75 (RM6.75-RM4) by using amex with extra charge.

So, the rules here, for every RM200 purchase, the extra charge on amex shouldn't be more than RM5 to stay profit.

Am I right?

Hi,

I want to ask about Maybank TreatsPoint.

Senheng/SenQ offering cash voucher redeem on the spot for RM1 for 200 TP

So, I am wondering how the exchange works? Show my maybankard visa and they print out the cash voucher or do I have to buy item first and it deduct the cash voucher later from credit card payment?

My wife got a maybankard too (not supplement) and I plan to redeem her TP for cash voucher and use it together with mine for an item.

Take the item to the cashier and TELL them you want to use Maybank TreatsPoint to redeem and "top-up" the rest with CC/cash

i think its possible, just proceed to KLCC or 1Utama.
if they approved, then you can just cancel the application you did via email

I emailed them yesterday, telling them I would like to go to KLCC and apply there instead because I need the cards urgently. They replied saying that it is already in process and will expedite. Today I can already see the cards in my Maybank2u. smile.gif

Hopefully I'll get the actual cards soon, I'm going to Perth next week (the only reason I need this card, I don't have any, been using my wife's as supp before).
