Hey I got 265k treat points now. Was wondering what should I exchange for, something worthy of the points.

These are the items around my points, is Jorg Gray a good brand for watches?

OR should I wait for 376000 points for a samsung galaxy S3? Kinda want to get the phone tongue.gif

IMHO, change to shopping vouchers is more flexible
At Harvey Norman, you can redeem vouchers worth RM1350 (RM50 = 9700 TP)
At Parkson, you can redeem vouchers worth RM1400 (RM50 = 9300 TP)
At Robinsons, you can redeem vouchers worth RM1450 (RM50 = 9000 TP)
You can also get RM1365 worth of Carrefour Gift Card (RM105 = 20000 TP)

Depends on where you go shopping most often.

i normally pay on the day statement comes out.
so when i receive the statement, it would be settled

Why waste the 20-day free interest period from CC ? You could earn 20-day interest from CASA which gives monthly interest (daily calculated)

Yes. I'm still thinking whether I should close my current M2U Saver account since it's been more than 6 months from the time I open it and open saver-i account. After 1 months I open saver then came out the saver-i account package. Not sure if it is allowed or not. rclxub.gif

I believe you can have BOTH accounts active.

Maybank's GST redemption via TP takes at least 1 week to be processed and it's consider as Payment to your outstanding balance.

hi ronnie, would like to ask if there's a balance of money left in statement balance but none (0.00) in outstanding balance, does it mean I overpaid? If yes, how can I use the overpaid amount?

thanks!
*
I don't think you can "use" overpaid amount ... I could be wrong.

uhm, so it will be deducted the next payment due date?

Another quick question, hope you dont mind, is that the rebate I got for Amex, let's say I pay finish the amount that it is due already, will it carry forward next following month? in this case next year Jan?

THanks!
*
Yes.. it will stay as a credit i.e. Weekend Cash-back Rebate is treated like payment via cash/cheque.
So I always pay RM50 (assume max cashback for the month) less than Statement Amount....
My Statement Date is just ngam to get the Weekend Cashback rebate on month end (few days before Due Date brows.gif )

i made a few transactions on 29/12-30/12 (weekends) but merchant has yet to claim the amount and it hasnt appear on my outstanding balance.
what happens to my 5% rebate since its already the 1st of a new month?
*
It will be calculated as January 2013's Weekend Rebate.... can share which Merchant which does slow posting ?
This is very good for those who exhausted Dec's weekend rebate and get to "utilise" next month's quota.

most of the overseas transactions i have done in the past are slow in posting into the system.  usually more than 2 days to get it reflected in online system. therefore overseas transactions done last weekend, the cash rebate should be reflected in January's RM50 quota
*
That's an idea in itself to "utilise-in-advance" weekend Cash back... Works well for weekends which are on 30th/31st

i purchased GSC tickets over the counter yesterday and realized the cashier looking at the part where the CVV was located when he placed the card to the card terminal.
immediately called maybank to report the situation and now the card is being monitored.
have to drop by 1U tomorrow to request an application to change new card

You should have put a little sticker to cover the CVV of all CC you hand over to 3rd party

Amex actually doesnt allow us to do such thing.
as merchant can refuse to accept the card due to alteration
*
I didn't alter/deface the card.. just add-on sticker.
If they want I can just remove the sticker. So far only 1 merchant tried to remove my sticker.

when do you guys pay the CC bill ?

I got my card end of last month and swipped a few times already tongue.gif

On my HSBC card I'll pay when the statement arrives, which is about 3 - 4 days before due date.
*
As long as you pay Statement Amount before Statement Due Date, you are fine ...

Is this date set by Maybank or can we change it ?

Reason being I'm used to paying CC bills at the start of each month ... just that no statement from Maybank yet. Being the 1st payment, slightly worried they might have jumbled the address etc
*
Statement Date can be change on request.... Due Date is estimated to be 20-days after Statement Date
