You haven't applied? What's the status of your OCBC Ti?
Yes but certain branch can get within 60 minutes. Like the one in 1U. smile.gif

How's the daily interest is calculated?

I save more so can spend more on Maybankard2Card. biggrin.gif

Added on December 28, 2012, 12:46 pmAbout the penalty for closing the account. This is the clause:
A service charge of RM20.00 will be imposed if the Maybank2u Savers account is closed within three (3) months from the account activation date

Sorry guys, allow me to OT for the last time. So, it has a set of number, I presume that's my saver bank account.

Can I use that for my salary purpose? I can always advise my payroll vendor to change my bank account. I'm in HR myself. sweat.gif

I think that wouldn't be a problem because anyone can deposit to the M2U saver bank account like normal saving account.

Thanks. biggrin.gif

Hi guys, I'm planning to apply for MBB 2. Went to maybank branch but I still can't understand how to calculate the 8.88% thing. Anyone?
*
Neither do I, that's for minimum payment interest.
You better not to know. smile.gif

Exactly!

Speaking of this M2U Savers Account, this is easily the best savings account in town with no restriction on how many withdrawal you can make per month. We actually have a dedicated Maybank2u Saver Account thread that was created last year.

Maybank was heavily promoting this account on Maybank2u just a couple of months ago and I opened mine right after it was launched. Been using this account for more than a year now and I am happy to see all the interest credited into my account every month   thumbup.gif

i earn more than 30k but less than 40k.. what do you think of the probability of approval to get Platinum card?
currently i already have OCBC Titanium CC and everything is settled promptly.  flex.gif
*
Er. Platinum needs 60k p.a. So even 40k has no effect. I have more than 50k p.a. still have no chance to get Platinum. Anyway I didn't try applying before. The extra perks of Platinum don't attract me yet.

Added on December 28, 2012, 7:07 pmAnd I opened Saver account before seeing ronnie's post. Aargh.

Went through KLCC branch for the 60 min thingy.

Was a bit disappointed when it was rejected.

Careful enough to double check already. Plus no reason is given.

Not really a big deal, just gonna apply another bank's and snub them when they come again laugh.gif

Their lost, at the end of the day  laugh.gif

Rejection can be due to many reasons, income is not the only reason. smile.gif

As i said, it's a small matter smile.gif

Just wanted the MBB to complete a small collection of mine. If can't get, no issue also as I do have another few more.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Can always go for another bank that has no qualms in approving my card application  laugh.gif

Just saying that no reason is kinda lame to treat a long standing customer, that's all.

Have a nice day then  laugh.gif
*
Well, this is one of the best cards for now. Even other cards are not that comparable to what MBB2Card can give. The nearest contender or I must say best companion is OCBC Ti. To be honest, I have both and have no intention to go for other cards now. smile.gif
Just saying.
Have a nice day.

I wonder maybank 2 card is consider 2 card in bank negara or 1 card?

I ask this question because credit card restriction for applicant who income less than RM3000 can only have 2 card.
*
Err, correction. The restriction is cannot hold cards from more than 2 banks not 2 cards.
So Maybank is considered 1 bank.

dear all,

im planning to apply this card. is it they still can approved it in 60 minutes if i apply it in KLCC?

one more thing, i just wanna confirm regarding the min annual income rm30k. it means gross income or nett income? my basic is below rm2.5k but if plus allowance it is around rm2.9k but w/o EPF deduction yet...please advise
*
Gross income.
If the allowance is fixed then you can include that, else they will just consider your basic salary.

Really?

if not mistaken, the last time I ask, they charge 2% for people who swipe card.

Last week I asked best price for a particular GPU, then they ask by cash or card, I was curious why then they said by cash cheaper, by card got that 2% charge.

Wonder does Viewnet do the same..
*
Nope, both Viewnet and All IT Hypermarket don't charge me for CC usage. Even my AmEx. smile.gif

Yup, they accept. I just bought something last month from there...

they charge extra 2% but that is nothing since we get back 7.5%

i saw they calculate the 2% amount manually using calculator, then tell u the additional amount for each item then manually input the amount into the cash register.
*
Strangely I wasn't being charged every time I buy from All IT LYP. hmm.gif

All maybank cards validity is just for 1 year? So need to renew annually? My previous HSBC is valid for 3 years.

Where did you hear that?
I applied mine in 2011 and it is valid until 2016.

Human Nature mention to me in the petrol thread that it is the transaction date the matters and not the posting date when it comes to the RM50 calculations. I wanted to reconfirm this with the rest of you, because all this while i thought it was the posting date that matters.

Correct me if I am wrong. Thx
*
Yes, transaction date that matters.
Posting date is only matters usually during end of the month, whereby the merchants might be late in doing their posting and causing the 5% rebate will only be included in the next month's cycle.

FYI, user need to make call to CS for verification to every transaction via paypal when apply M2C for payment. The above info is informed by CS when I tried use M2C for payment. l guess there might be known for most of member here.
*
Not for my case, I have been using PayPal for many many times and never once I needed to call Maybank.
I registered my AmEx to link with PayPal back in 2011, I think those newer registrants will need to go through this hassle.
