TS i as a fellow consumer and ex-sony staff fully support you in this case. That shop already cross the line. To rocktank, you can check the model number etc.CECH-3006 with the last number "6" indicate the region. If im not mistaken 1=HK

thx for your support bro!

mine last digit is 6, is it SG?

Added on November 24, 2012, 4:40 pm

mine SN no ending with 6, i think should be SG set

Added on November 24, 2012, 4:44 pm

urs is HK set? how dare they sold u this and claim is SG set?

another problem pooping in my mine, although u got ur vita back, and its took 3 months to claim, will it affect the warranty period? i mean when u sent it back u still hv 6 months warranty, it took 3 months to repair, then the warranty period left 3 months or 6 months?
*
yeah i was thinking of this also... already ended 3 months for nothing at all! im afraid they hold until almost a year then told me im out of warranty so cannot claim anymore! cry.gif

as i recall, we can ask from the seller for reference no about warranty/repair right..from the website theres a link to check the status..so why PLAYTIME said only them can check the status? sounds fishy..

ts should harrass them asking for the Repair Certificate Number..now i even doubt they even send to claim warranty

Bringing a recording device and using it in a courtroom without permission is a serious offense. I'm not sure about consumer tribunals, better find out and ask first before getting into big trouble. wink.gif

I asked them abt this situation, they told me that SG Sony will give me an answer, but how can we deal with SG Sony without any information?

I remembered they said their technicians will try to solve the problems 1st, if they can't do anything with it then they will send to SG. I'm wondering is the tech department hold ours consoles?

Good news for you! "6" means it for Malaysia. You can send for warranty/repair at any sony malaysia/authorized dealer for repair. From my exp, 7 days or latest 2 weeks settle smile.gif

My advice. do not let the shop repair for you or it will void the warranty smile.gif

so now we know how playtime handle warranty issue rclxms.gif which is repairing instead of sending to warranty to save cost which to me they trick customer saying send for warranty but actually just buying time delaying customer.... doh.gif

How sure are you the cost are cheaper to send back to SG for repairs are cheaper?
Do you own a game shop as well ? Or you could actually calc with your common sense you need to pay for shipping fees for sending out of country to repair the device/hardwares.

The reason why they have to send back to Singapore is because people like us, everyone of us , Wants to buy a cheaper stuff , Lower price compare to Sony store .

When it happens to people like you , That you wants everything to be fast , Shop/Retailers have to find a way to sort things out. Simple as that.
