How sure are you the cost are cheaper to send back to SG for repairs are cheaper?
Do you own a game shop as well ? Or you could actually calc with your common sense you need to pay for shipping fees for sending out of country to repair the device/hardwares.

The reason why they have to send back to Singapore is because people like us, everyone of us , Wants to buy a cheaper stuff , Lower price compare to Sony store .
When it happens to people like you , That you wants everything to be fast , Shop/Retailers have to find a way to sort things out. Simple as that.
I'm just wondering why people like you love to be a fire starters , Do you have a game shop around?

do u read the while story, the main issue here that PLAYTIME claim they send to warranty, i so thats good..but with the evidence and asssumtion made base on how ts asked the reference code so he can check the status of his vita, but PLAYTIME said they cannot give to him and only them can check it(this is somehow fishy)..even if its true that they are the only shop who can check the status, they never inform/update ts in this 3months time..btw it is absurd that 3 months without any news..futhermore being treated badly when ts contact them about his vita status..your point about "do you have gameshop bla2.." other reputable seller can solve this kind of warranty issue less that this 3months time..

now with new about they try to repair it on their own 1st, if cannot repair then send to sg..what kind if shop is this, voiding customer warranty just to cut cost?? zzzzzz

there was a case where the owner waited for more than a year and it was a gone case. left unsolved.
this proves that you probably don't understand what really happened or maybe just a fan of them. or you might be one of them at worse.

if i was the owner of the PSV, and knew that it would take this long (e.g. 3 months but still nothing) to claim the warranty, and knew that the shop owner could simply call you a$$hole,
i would rather do it myself.

if you own a game shop then you will call your customers A$$hole just because they want to follow up the repair status?
now what common sense that you are using?

Or maybe seller wants to compete other seller, thus going for imported stuff in order to get more customers. Seller has much to be blamed on this.

The shop should have 'sort things out' before they attempt to sell the product. If they know warranty will take 6 months for imported product, make it clear to potential buyers. It is extremely careless if they never thought about the product they sold could have problems.

http://www.edepot.com/playstation.html

From the website above, we can know that an ended with 06 mean hk set or sg set, I hope mine is sg set, coz it must take less time to do the claim than HK. I'm wondering how long it need to take if sending it to HK? And the cost must higher than repair in SG...

wow after reading the entire thread (which i don normally do, but since i bought a few games from this shop b4 might as well read all)

ill never go back to the shop again....

how can they dispose of a ps3 just like that (from another dispute)

and now this.....

probably they tried to fix the consoles themselves (since they have in house 'technician')
then spoiled the whole thing....

doesnt want to compensate, treat like nothing ever happen..

no explanation was given regarding anything.

Need an answer? Own a retailers one day and you explain here why do you need 3 months when you get no replies from them.

Stop being an idiot asking stupid question, Simple as that, Buy any hardware today and send it for warranty, and come back to us and let us know how long u waited for warranty claim, Don be naive to think that warranty means 1 to 1 exchange within a year. If that's true, i would like to buy anything from you which covered warranty 1 to 1 exhange within 365 days a year.

i don't know how to said this, your device have 06 at the end, when i was working with Sony Malaysia, we accept only the game device with model "06" to repair/warranty. What i really don't understand here why must sent to SG?

Sorry for the info, the "06" aka region indicator is at model number not serial number smile.gif
